It's too soon for me to take a look at any other kind of fantasy RPG games. Maybe once I have seen everything there is to see in Skryim then I will consider this game...I forgot about Skyrim DLC...and then the mod scene...hmmm.

Kinda interested in this, but the talking animations look terrible. Like ventriloquist dolls, bottom of mouth moving but nothing else. Shame really. Maybe will still be a good game, I'll keep one eye on it.

We are heading into great times for Western RPG fans. Skyrim on November 11th, Old Republic on December 20th, and finally, Amalur on February 7th.

@Rave: I agree, every time I see trailers for this game it just looks like a more bland looking Fable. Seems pretty generic to me.

Meh. This game has a really generic art style. It looks like they were trying to make it unique and then just kind of... stopped.

@inqsolarus: yeah, reminds me of Oblivion and the latest Fallout games.

I can only be on the fence about this game. It looks all over the place for me (combat isn't selling it, it seems to operate at either 30 or 60 fps) and considering Skyrim is so soon, I may just not care.

Also, nice to see you can look like the Demons Hunter from Warcraft III.

I feel like the dialogue needs more hand gestures. It's very creepy talking to statues with moving lips, unblinking eyes, and slightly tilt-y heads.

Same thing why I didn't like playing Fallout - the way they deliver dialogue is so... Unreal.

Looks Fable as fuck, which is causing me to temper my expectations somewhat

What I don't like about this trailer is how barren and empty the environments look. Yes, the art style is kinda generic but so was Dragon Age: Origins and I love the hell out of that game. The card stuff kinda confuses me but could be interesting. I'm curious to see more of this game.

It's good that more people are making these big RPG games. I want Bethesda to have some quality competition.

Fable invented colors and third person RPGs

I want this. Does the video have 60framerate parts? Can the GB player do that? I didn't think it could.

The art style makes me think it could be great, if not simply because they aren't spending so much time and resource in making it look completely amazing. It reeks of WoW, but in kind of a good way.

You don't put silly made-up proper nouns in the title when you're debuting a new property.

"Dragon Age: Origins." Not "Thedas: The Ferelden Chronicles."

Skyrim works because it's the sixth game, and it's actually a compound of two real words. The first one was called "Arena," which is not a silly made-up word at all!

What the hell is an Amalur? I already don't care! Right off the bat, with absolutely no knowledge of the product, I have negative interest!

still looking forward to this *fable Remasterd* ,first rpg i've ever wanted to play all 3 class types but now i can use em all!.

I hope that duel wielding elf at the end there was named Illidan or some form of that.

Maybe if I am bored of Skyrim by then I will get this.

@Moonshadow101: That's where most people get interested, the unknowing. The trailer draws you in, then you start wondering about all that stuff. Obviously Amalur is the name of the world. >>"Kingdoms of Amalur"<<. :O That was hard. Nitpicker. This game sounds super awesome btw. So gonna pre-order soon. First Skyrim tho.

I'm looking forward to a game with a broader colour pallet than brown and grey.

Also, Claudia Black's voice is so sexy

The Sword of Shannarra. The Elvenbane. Dragonriders of Pern. The Simarillion. Wolves of the Calla (Dark Tower series). Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Some of the spelling might be off but my point is that you don't know what you're talking about.
