This is true, but at least the game isn't devoid of skins that are not behind the pay wall. There are still other unlockables. Say no to bad DLC guys, and avoid paying for this trash.

This.. just hurts... Somewhere a kid is dying of hunger because rubbish DLC is EVIL!

I'd like to add, as someone who has some knowledge of modeling/texturing, the non animated floral pattern shotgun would take about 10 minutes doing.. It's absolutely unbelievable that they sell that piece of shit. The rainbow pattern one would take longer, depending on if they had that crazy animated rainbow texture lying around (I'm almost certain they did.. cause why would they bother doing that from scratch...). These textures all kinda look like something they did to check for stretching in the UV Maps... (when you unwrap the mesh (wireframe) of a model for texturing purposes, sometimes you fudge it up and certain areas get larger or smaller than they should actually be, and that creates deformities in how the texture bitmap covers the model. Often times people apply a checkerboard pattern to a model to see if it distributes evenly. This could also be done with the beautiful floral tapestry.. And it kinda feels like that's exactly what they did..)

Horse armor was actual DOWNLOADABLE content.

To me this looks like someone at Microsoft played lil ol' Team Fortress 2 and had the amazing idea to make Gears 3 the testing ground for the in-game item store. (Except in TF2 you can get the item you want without spending a penny)

Morons will probably buy these, other publishers see this, now every game with MP has a totally innocent in-game real money item store.

Yup, I'm watching it now and this shit is really ridiculous. There will never be enough Gears fanboyism, and I already have a lot of it, in me to justify paying for that stuff. At least this stuff isn't detracting much from the actual game. I'm going to wait a bit for more info on the season pass stuff.

I don't really get the outrage about this stuff. It doesn't really affect the game at all. It's arguably overpricing weapon textures, but if you think they're dumb, or that they're too expensive you don't have to buy them.

I'm not trying to defend this DLC here, but it's not really the same as horse armor. At least here you're playing with other people and your skins can give you a unique look in multiplayer matches if you care about that kind of stuff.

I kind of feel sick that even jeff spent money on this. The bad guys are winning.

With this new in-game pay model will Jeff and the crew have enough reserves from their company credit card to answer every paid DLC question down the road? Or will it all be just, diminishing returns? 

As an artists who makes art for games as a living, the majority of those skins probably take no more than 5 minutes each, the animated ones a little bit more.

Its just crazy how much they're charging for this stuff and thats its already on the disk, but people will buy it and we'll see more unfortunately.

So, this is how Jeff is getting rid of the Game Room purchasing shakes.

Cliff said that money goes towards paying for the servers, which is great. Ill most likely buy a couple packs. The Team Metals one looks quite nice. To anyone who pays more than half the price of the full game for skins, get help.
