Ask Me Anything: Alice: Madness Returns

After American's previous stuff I had pretty much written this off, but it looks pretty good. Rental material at the very least.

Oh man, this looks so cool. I love the look of Alice, her run, the animations, her dress and hair. I love the art style.

I can't wait for this to come out! I just found my old copy of Alice this morning.

Wow, this makes Dante's Inferno look like Bad Dudes. With that said, the combat reminds me of Darksiders (which is good).

I like this game's style.

Oh man, this is really neat.

Still looks really good. Gameplaywise it seems like an older generation platformer, which is alright because we sure don't see a lot of those these days. I'm definetly interested.

Wow, I was really impressed. It feels like this game was just announced a few months ago, to me - it looks really far along, though.

Need to offer up courses on lock-on before the boss, game designers...dont slum it and throw a distracting prompt up in the middle of the action too late.

Like many I was sceptical, but this quick look has sold me on the game. I have always been a bit sad that I never played the first one.

This game looks really, well, game-y. I don't know where or not that is a criticism, but I would like to see more. 

Looks alright, but I wasn't too excited. What sold me completely was the little drawing of the psychologist/doctor/etc in the bottom right during recovery of a repressed memory. So goddamn creepy...

Very cool!  I'll keep an eye out for this one.

More of a fake ass quick look without the experience of playing the game or facts about the game......great.

By the looks of this, it would seem that this game can only depend on its art style, as the game play reveals itself to be another generic platformer. That said, I realized it was only 10 minutes worth of gameplay.

This game looks pretty damn nice.  I'm more intrigued now than ever.

Actually looks like it will be fun to play, but it has my biggest pet peeve in design: "crazy = Hot Topic outfit." The enemies and environments look pretty cool, though.

I love that her dress doesn't blow up all the way when she hops on a steam thingy. Fan Service has gotten way out of hand lately *cough Square Enix!* so it's nice to see something like this.

Running animation looks bad, just kinda floats while legs move back and forth.

Looks really good, I hope for a PC version with hi-res textures since you can see the low-res ones in this version already.  The art style looks great, as it did in the first game.  Combat looks even better and I'm looking forward to checking this one out.

Looks beautiful, I really want to play it.

And you'll discover that it was Alice that set the house on fire and killed her family.

So apart from the (admittedly very enticing) art style, what sets this apart from any other just-another-3D-combat-and-platforms game?

I've never played and American Mcghee game but it looks like that's is going to change soon.  Is the original Alice worth going back to at this point?

Like I lot of folks, I wasn't sure about this but this gives me a lot more confidence.

I can't decide whether "eye pot" is the best or worst pun.

Game looks pretty good but I just don't see myself playing this.

After seeing game-play and the art style of this game I am definitely on board.  I feel like I am also not the only one who thinks the hair in this game looks great.

Genuinely interesting and useful so see some extended game footage of this game.  Was hard to know what the level of quality was and the feel of it till now.

I'm impressed with the sense of eerie isolation that seems to have been captured here with the feeling that everything's a bit unhinged in the background beyond just the obvious visuals.  Well done to the Chinese team behind this, though the value of the game will only be known after having played it to completion of course.
