@first2die: BF:BC has dedicated servers. AFAIK, every EA game runs on dedicated servers. Have they explicitly said that this will run on "listen" servers or are you just assuming?

@DOUBLESHOCK: Yea I know, I'm not saying it won't be fun or people don't want it or something. I'm just expressing the fact that these dudes are over-hyping their product, and that makes me worried if the whole game will be as good as they claim it to be.

News broke, that there will be a hardcore mode for all multiplayer modes.
 
 

  • No Killcam
  • Friendly Fire ON
  • No Aiming Reticule - Ironsights Only (and Scopes and Red Dot of course)
  • Higher Bullet Damage
  • No Minimap
  • No HUD whatsoever
  • No Spotting On-screen Indicators
  • Sensorballs just start to piep, when somebody moves in it's area of effect (and only a limited number active per team)
 
Good news come in pairs, it seems!

I sure hope they add more than this, such as coop-campaign and well, a hell of alot more stuff!

I'm gonna be broke as hell next year. I plan on getting BFBC2, Mega Man 10, 3D Dot Game Heroes, MAG, God of War 3, Final Fantasy 13, and Gran Turismo 5. That's all within the first half of the year! And that's not including all the other epic titles I want to get but can't afford. Next year will be a BIG year for gaming. But, you know what's funny? I've been saying the same thing every year since 2007.

Definitely getting this for PC. Man there are wayyyy too many awesome games coming out this Q1 (which is ultra unusual)...not that I'm complaining :D

@RobotHamster: same here, i may still pop in modern warfare 2 to play spec ops with friends, and the occasional multiplayer match, but this game is going to shut that down completely

Awesome. SO excited about this game. I traded in MW2 because I was having so much fun in the BC2 beta - it just plays so much better and it's all about teamwork.

looks really neat but the problem is its too co-op focused. i don't ever wear a mic nor do i ever talk to anyone on xbl. so i can forsee this being a problematic mode for most people.

@FrankCanada97:  I'm just saying that the majority of games are made for the consoles, then ported to PC. And that we shouldn't expect additional features on the PC versions as comparatively speaking the PC market is small when compared with consoles. But who knows? this game could be a killer on the PC with BF2 fan picking it up. Only time will tell.

On topic though, can't wait for this. Always did prefer BF's multiplayer to CoD, but that's just me.

Actually, DICE announced explicitly that the PC version of BC2 WILL have dedicated servers, and an increased level cap. So fail on first poster's end.

Oh, so you are the people who I always squad up with in Bad Company 1... seriously, if you don't want to play co-operatively, there are a lot of other games that cater to you specifically, if you catch my drift.
