@Agent47: I get your point about terrorists being grounded in reality, but despite all the conflict they've caused they've never been too much of a threat in open battles. That's why I'd like to see developers coming up with more original enemies. How about USA vs Europe? sure it sounds ridiculous, but with a good enough story any conflict can make sense. I just see "Middle Eastern" as an incredibly easy and dull enemy to go up against.

@smiddy:Well considering they usually base military shooter on current events the "middle eastern terrorists" are the most known and used.What other enemies could they use?That are still grounded in reality.Though what confuses me is that there are middle eastern terrorists in the singleplayer but you can only play as the americans or russians in multiplayer.

Sounds like they got some great takes with great acting voice actors to act as voices taking actions.

Hope the single player story is good. I'm mostly in for the multiplayer for sure, but a solid single player campaign goes a long way.

Oh man. That caption just reminded me of how I used to drive around in NFS: U2's open world waiting for it to rain so I could feel like a badass with all my car-neon.
 
Also, this trailer is pretty cool I guess.

The voice acting in this is amazing! CoD is good too but, it's more "fantasy like?" Not sure how to put it. This, however, seems a lot more believable. Watching this trailer, and the 12 minute gameplay trailer awhile back. The chatter and action don't seem forced, or over acted.

This looks Amazing. I was so unimpressed with the beta...but hey its a beta. Will still definitely pick this up.

Looks good. Story looks predictable as hell, but that's the case for modern military shooters. Graphics and game play looks nice, but let's be honest, the single-player is not why you play a Battlefield game. It's nice that they've included it, but I'm probably going to get to level 15 in the multiplayer before I even touch the single player campaign. I've played through enough CoD games to know how these games go: Someone will say "OSCAR MIKE" or "TANGO DOWN" or "BRAVO ROMEO FOXTROT ECHO LZ ALPHA ACTION BRADO! MIKE ONE! MIKE ONE!" a whole bunch of times, nukes and terrorists will be involved, someone from your squad will get captured, you'll almost certainly have to rappel down the side of a building and enter through a window in DRAMATIC FASHION, there's GOING to be at LEAST one "stealth" segment, which involves nothing more complicated than "Follow the NPC and crouch a lot", and undoubtedly there will be a moment in which your helicopter gets shot down, or your convoy gets blown up and you have to either use your pistol to fend off the baddies or crawl to safety. And there WILL be a segment in which you fight through a darkened room where the enemies conveniently have laser sights so you can shoot them easily. It'll basically be a CoD game, but they'll throw in some more military lingo and make the graphics look gritty and there will be slightly fewer explosions to make it more "realistic".

But none of that formulaic crap matters because the multiplayer will be good, and the multiplayer is the reason most of us are buying BF3.

this game has been downloaded and installed on my pc while my PS3 sits in the corner and begs the question 'wtf is Steam/Origin and why haven't you touched me in years?'...just waiting for the date sync to the server...bring the noise.

ps. I look forward to my first helicopter experience where I fly it like a tard into a school bus thereby solidifying my n00b status

The single player story has grit, and it looks like its not one of those military drama we've been seeing on COD games.

No amount of windex and tissue can clean the thick splooge i just blasted to my screen after watching this trailer.

Do we understand each other? We're not on a mission to find gold-filled crates this time?

I kinda lost hope when I played the beta a while back, but hey! Let's hope my doubts about this game disappear when I finally play the full product.

Good trailer with great music. I think it's pretty easy to make a good trailer out of this kind of game so I'm not going to get too hyped.
