that mini-series dealy on gamespot was pretty bitchin, lookin forward to this boys!

I really enjoyed the historical/pseudo-historical timeline leading up to the setting. Hopefully the gameplay will be as engaging as the trailer's narrative.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the setting originally on Mars?  Even so, this still seems to be pretty interesting.

Their fictional premise seems quite unbelievable. It would be more plausible had not USA invaded, which would more probably had split Iraq along Kurdish, Sunni and Shi'ite lines once the ba'ath party government was done. 
 
If they are making a counter-strike game, however, I don't really see the need for this which would pit ethnic groups against each other as a game. I guess they will structure it differently but it's a touchy subject nonetheless.

Interesting concept. Definitely more so than 'shoot dudes in unnamed middle eastern country'.

I don't remember this game at all but needless to say, this certainly piqued my interest.

Trailer threw pretty dark, especially for an online FPS.

Good to know that this game still exists.  I'll definitely keep my eyes open for news on this one.  Hope it turns out well.

If this was set on Mars, the name makes perfect sense.  Oh wait.. it was set on Mars?  Awesome.  And they kept the name that was clearly tailored for  Mars-based game? 

Well if you followed with their blog you would have known that it was still in development...

Pseudo timeline was a bit interesting but 4 minutes is way too long for a trailer that gives zero information about the game itself, at least non-gameplay teasers usually give a sense of a game's art style and gameplay focus.  These guys need some marketing advice.

Wow, 4 min of random info that i don't give a rats ass about inside my video games to lead up a story that will most likely be none existent in the final version of a multiplayer only game.
 
Still only interested in seeing what becomes of the game because of that GS documentary...and still have no friggin idea what the hell the game will be about...yet to be excited for it.

The setup reminds me a lot of MAG.  Near future, PMC's fighting each other.
 
And yeah, this was totally set on Mars originally.  That's even where the "Red Earth" tag came from.  I wonder if they try to explain that away somehow.  "Somebody shot red paint everywhere!  The earth is red!"

Lol wasn't this game originally going to be set on Mars? Whatever, it looks like these guys have done a seriously good job on their back story so I think this could turn out pretty good.

I enjoyed this trailer a lot. I know I'm in the minority, but I thought it was really well done and engaging. And the music was eerie yet fitting.

It's been a long time! Did they somehow change the premise of this game? Wasn't "Red Earth" going to be Mars? This doesn't confirm that..

I can't believe this game is still coming out, good on the guys at Echelon, I hope this game turns out to be a hit for them! :D

hmm, surprisingly bold and thought out backstory for a multiplayer shooter. Would've been better if all this was still taking place on mars.

NO F*IGN WAY, that game is still alive?! I remember this back when GS did a realitiy tv show-esque thing on the devs day to day life for a few weeks. I even dug up their website a few months ago to see if they still existed.
 
It's kinda interesting because as I recall they were basically trying to make Borderlands before Borderlands even existed. A futuristic FPS on mars with RPG elements. That was even before COD4 came out. Then they released a trailer and it looked like *ss.
