Broken Age Is Doublefine's Crowdfunded Adventure Game

I backed this, but chose no gift :)

Third time I've watched this video, was really awed by the art style first couple of times and all I kept thinking about was looking at that kickstarter page and umming and ahhing about whether to back or not.

After watching this time I've thought about how aside from the art style, it doesn't really show anything. If this wasn't double fine, if this didn't have the whole kickstarter thing around it we'd probably all be calling out the fact that there's nothing here.

Now I will admit Double Fine have earned the benefit of the doubt in terms of turning out a good game but let's all take a step back and not let our expectations get out of hand. Gamers have done it all to often and given the developer little chance on day one

Fanatically whimsical trailer. Also cool to see Tim's original vision of the game's title card, with a boy and girl in different worlds, come to life.

As a backer I think the most awesome thing about this game is getting to have my own wiki page on the site! It's been really great to see it come together and getting that same rush as I did on Building the Bastion, seeing the process of how games are made.

I'm glad I backed this.

Sad that I couldn't back this. Guess I'll just have to do my part and BUY THE EVERLOVING CRAP OUT OF IT OH MY GOD IT LOOKS AMAZING!

This trailer didn't really tell me anything about what this is :(

the official site for the game has buttons that let you back the game via paypal now (which I just did)
