So anyone else sick of seeing the Dead Island trailer before almost every giant bomb video and many youtube videos? I'm now making sure I'm never buying that game. I've never had to watch a single ad so many times within such a short span of time.

I feel like snipers are ill-suited to this setting.

I really enjoyed the ballistics with the initial game. Windage and bullet drop were simulated accurately, but the flawless AI made you up against super soldiers.

Good point - and the fact that these snipers are next to useless in the jungle.

wha? how? how did the first one manage to break even for a sequel to be produced? i.... the first one was bad..... really bad.... it's had the same control layout as a call of duty game, somehow an enemy can see you with out you seeing them. i just... wha?

That's a very realistic looking game. ...

I get deeply upset when games like this get Sequels barely a year after debuting and some pretty great IP's don't even get a second look.

Say what you will but I always thought Dark Sector could use a sequel - the original game was pretty interesting considering it was like a 360 launch title.

I thought this was a much different game when i clicked on the video, which makes me think that there was some meeting where an asshole in a suit said "hey maybe if we confuse people with the title then they might buy this by mistake, thinking that it's one of those Tom Clancy games".

You know, I could never understand the fascination about sniping in video games. I could never wrap my head around someone who is going to just sit in the corner furthest away from all the fighting so he can just take potshots at enemies with his rifle. I recognize that having a few on a team in modern military shooters such as the Battlefield series, but when I look around and over half of my team is sniping in that particular game and I am like one of three dudes up front fighting it kind of makes me wonder what I seem to be missing.

The power of low production budgets. When you don't spend as much to make a game, it doesn't require as much to turn a profit.

@CommissarDuke: It can get pretty zen if you do it right. For instance I sing while sniping (not into a mic mind you) to get in the zone. If you do it wrong you'll be in a cursey hell though.

@TheVampireBoy: My guess is that it's mostly the countless quickscopers in CoD who bought part 1. They probably think sniping is the best thing ever in games but won't care enough to read reviews before buying a game.
