While I'm not that big of a fan of COD or Activison, I can respect treyarch's attempts to take the game in new directions.

60fps is nice. At first I used the YouTube link to view it, but it wouldn't even switch to HD. A few things about this will be very bad, like the shoddy looking vehicle support.

I think it's a hell of a stretch to call a near future FPS "SciFi". It's still set in the 21st Century only like 20 years from now...

Depends on your definition. It's not like you can't have sci-fi set in the modern day, or heck even in the past...say the Bioshocks. I don't think it's quite applicable here, but from what I've heard of the setting already, it's not THAT far off.

Am I the only one who thinks that wrinkly old geezer looks like Sev from Killzone? (Don't know if it's been mentioned before as I don't feel like trolling through 440 other comments.)

Remotely interesting idea here, I quite like the setup. It made me chuckle and I was taken out of the atmosphere somewhat at the end with the guy going THISPRODUCTNOTYETRATED.

At least Treyarch are trying. And I respect them for that. You can bet that the next Modern Warfare game will STILL have the floating camera as protagonist and outdated stuff like that.

I liked Black Ops, and didn't care for MW3 but this looks really promising.

I was put off at first by the non-Cold War setting, but I'm back on board. This looks sick!

Also, I hope this means that cyber-punk is going to become the next over-used setting. Not in the sense that I want it to be used to the point where people are sick of it, but I want to see more of it!

First time I watched a COD trailer and wasn't bored to tears. To bad the single player is only going to last 20 minuets, with 19 of them being cutscenes, and the PC version will be complete crap like all the others. Here's hoping they can actually do it right this time.

Thank god their doing something different. Will be interested to see more details on this. God damn that Cod hype train just rolls into to town every year its so hard to resist a ride.

I think it's remarkable that they have decided to flesh out the story and the campaign when for many people the priority of Cod is the multiplayer. I know loads of people who didn't even touch the Black Ops Single player despite it actually being pretty damn good. Or at least better than I expected.

And choosing a future setting is the best thing they could have done. They got away with using weird technology in the Blops multiplayer like the RC-XD, Semtex Crossbow, Ballistic Knife and customisable guns because they were going for the "These guys are Black Ops so they have access to secret gear that wouldn't have been around in the real Cold War setting." However now they aren't bound by history and can do whatever the hell they want and still keep it somewhat plausible. That added with the fact that Blops was probably one of the most balanced Cod multiplayer experiences gives me high hopes that they won't screw anything up and will produce a great product for dedicated Cod fans and people who may just come back after leaving out MW3.

Those graphics goddamn that engine is fucking ancient.

Haha, I was the same way. Leading up to the announcement I was all "oh, yay, another CoD game that I couldn't care less about, whoopee".

Looks alright, but I'm still concerned for multiplayer. Black Ops had a lot of issues over time with tons of patches, and even MW3 is going through the same motions. Only if the online portion is significantly improved I will play it.

This is the most interested I've been in a CoD game since... well, since the original honestly.

And since the original CoD was the last CoD that I actually bought, I won't feel so bad getting into this one.

Does anyone that visits enthusiast gaming sites even care about another generic FPS? COD seems like it's more targeted towards the Wii Fit crowd at this point.
