Celebrate The Witcher 2's 360 Port With An Execution

Ahh shucks, barely missed it. I just started this on the PC yesterday since I caught this trailer at GameTrailers.

Woo. I wonder if it'll be as confusing to get into as ever.

@AnZ17N: It helps if you played the first game, but it's not required. Plenty of my friends broke into the series through The Witcher 2.

I'm excited for my non-pc gaming friends to get this, so we can finally talk about how massively amazing it is. Well, the first parts anyway.

April 17 is also of interest to PC Witcher fans because the same day that the 360 version of the game launches, an Enhanced Edition update for the PC will also be released, and it will be free. Free! Along with the new cinematics, the Enhanced Edition will add new quests, characters and locations, adding up to four hours of additional gameplay over and above the original game. Is it any wonder that I love these guys?

I had no idea about this. Fuck yeah CD Projekt, one of the best developers alongside Valve.

Letho is such a beast. BTW, to anyone who's wondering: you will get the Enhanced Edition stuff for free on the PC if you buy a copy before it comes out. It's for sale at GOG right now.

Did anyone else have some weird stuttering/slowdown with the video? Especially around the part where they pan over the frozen people. I don't think it's my computer.

I'm super excited that this game will be brought for the Xbox, considering that I don't have a PC good enough for games like this. Here's fingers crossed they decide to eventually do the same with the first, although I'm sure they both flow better on PC anyways.

I know this isn't actual gameplay, but it does make me wants to get through the first witcher.

@ProjektGill: Yeah, I converted it from .wmv to .mp4 since people were running into audio sync issues, so that might have caused some problems. It sucks, but it's not as bad as the sound being a two seconds off, so I'm leaving it.

This needs to be in wikipedia under the definition of EPIC!

Ah, I was wondering if they were going to update the PC version with the 360 content as well. Awesome of them to do it!

It does play as well as it looks, hence the critical acclaim.

and the combat was improved in a patch late last year, I haven't played it since then but I never had any issues with the combat to begin with. Looking forward to EE.

CD Projectk RED is fantasy and RPGs at their finest right now. I hate to say it but maybe now that Witcher 2 is making its way to the Xbox it will get the respect it deserves, at least the publicity.

Letho is the assassin in the video. He is also the assassin who frames Geralt in Witcher 2 for the murder of King Foltest.
