Change Up Your Wardrobe in Batman: Arkham City

I just want animated series Batman.

The best part of this trailer was the misspelling of "Sinsestro".

Although it's nice to have all the alternates for the most part you're just looking at a giant black cape and the back of his head for most of the game.

I'm talking about the fact that it looks like a typo in the trailer. Is it Sinsetro, Sinsestro or Sinestro?

You know what I was pretty disappointed in? Arkham City.

I'm fairly torn with this and the Nightwing/Robin map packs. On one hand, I will probably only play through Arkham City once more on New Game +. On the other hand, I don't know if I can justify these costs. I already have TDKR costume from the special edition and I'm not a fan personally. I do share similar sentiments that skins shouldn't fucking cost a dime. With 400+ Riddler challenges to complete, these should come as a result of finishing that.

Me too. But apparently we're crazy to expect anything like that today because it's just some natural evolution of video games to put a price tag on any and all extra content.

Maybe I am crazy, or maybe that's fucking bullshit.

There are a million collectibles and challenges in this game all for a bunch of bullshit concept art you could just Google if you were interested. Why not tie the extra costumes into that? Oh, that's right, because they can't charge you for that. Because a $60 game that shipped 4.6 million and sold 2 million copies in its first week won't turn enough of a profit on it's own.

The Batman Beyond suit has retractable wings for gliding. They don't show when he's not flying around. They really should have shown it in the trailer, though, for people who aren't familiar with it.

The first episode of the cartoon had Bruce Wayne in the suit, so we've actually seen a beefier Batman Beyond before. Though admittedly it looks a little better on Terry's build. Still awesome though.

There's like 9 different versions of Batman in this game now, and they couldn't fit Adam West in there anywhere? It's certainly no more ridiculous than highly rendered guys getting the shit kicked out of then by a cell animation.

@Artemesia: Well in the cartoon we first see Bruce in the costume where he is fairly beefy. Terry than takes the costume and is a more skinnier Batman until he's older.

Strangely enough in the source fiction, he's the only version that CAN actually fly.

@emtee: The "1970's" version of Batman was made in RESPONSE to the campy 1960's TV show. If anyone knew their history, that would simply never be allowed to happen.

Had they released this closer to the game I woud have gotten them as I was super stoked at first. But I'd really only want the Animated Series one. That and I've already played the game twice and probably wont play it again for a while.

I don't care what anyone says, TAS Batman looks fucking hideous when rendered in 3D. I'll probably go with Batman Beyond, or Earth One.

All those skins should have been in-game unlockables. Like maybe for chasing down all those

Riddler trophies.

yeah i got a free code for the ps3 version months ago when the green lantern blue ray came out

Had I not already started my New Game +, I might have given this a second look. This also reminds me that I still have a 70's Batman suit code that I never used.

Please, Rocksteady. I would gladly pay for some good story DLC that I can actually play. With that said, I might pay for some more Catwoman costumes, since when I do play the challenge rooms it's usually with her.

They should've gotten Adam West to record the voices for 1970s Batman. Maybe then I would be tempted to buy it.

They can't be used in New Game+, and I don't plan on playing a lot of challenge maps at this point. I probably will skip these.
