Charlie Nash Comes to Street Fighter V

Guess I shouldn't have created that thread.

Not a fan of giving more characters teleports in SF. MK is already rotten with those.

The shading and higher detail on the characters look great, though I really wish they had gone with a completely new art-style again with V :S Especially with all the super-hyper-arcade-delux-editions they have been releasing since the first rendition of IV. It just feels like a gen-jump re-release.

I know V will feature tweaks, new balance and perhaps new systems on ultra/supers ect, but as a casual/normal consumer of fighting games, I'd like a bigger jump in style, especially when going to a new generation.

Took them long enough. I always have enjoyed playing as charlie.

Well, now we know they still have the lame pre-fight chatter in this game

Game is looking a lot sharper, better contrast, more inky.

Shaders look pretty great, although it does give me an odd Clay Fighters vibe.

And now we have M. Bison in there, too. Awesome.

I wonder if this means we'll be getting more Alpha characters that weren't seen in SF4. It could be interesting, and I hope they keep SF5's roster from mostly overlapping with SF4's.

I've got no idea about the pro scene, but I can't imagine a character with teleports being received well.

Plenty of characters have teleports.

Charlie almost looks like the slick Guile from SF2, Chun Li looks great as well. They need to change Ryu's hair and face IMO.

I'm so happy to see that they fixed Ryu's low fwd animation. It looked goofy as heck in the first build, but now it's looking like it used to.

He's no Fame Douglas.

Looks like Decacpre + Guile. Well at least this means Guile will probably still in. Also Bipson.

Also the game still looks pretty slow and stiff, hopefully it becomes a bit more fluid as time goes on, I don't want another SF4-feeling game. I'd rather be with something that feels closer to 3S or CvS2 (with totally new systems) than something closer to 4.

The animations in this game look great, and.....there are already teleports in street fighter.....

Great news Guile, we found Nash! We finally found em. Bad news, he doesn't look so good anymore, he's got a few stitches.

With that said, he looks great, and that music was awesome. Can't wait for this.

The Charlie/Nash split got resolved a few years back. He's been "Charlie Nash" since the UDON comic, and I wanna say you see his name written as "Charlie Nash" in SF 4.

@dan_citi: I hope it's fluid but not much faster than SF4, that was one of the very few good 2D fighters to not be super fast.

I saw PlayStation's upload of this video on YouTube where they referred to him as "Nash" as well, så maybe that's a thing now?

Besides, it's ridiculous that he's a Frankenstein now, since we all know what really happened. We all saw the movie: Blanka is Charlie :V

I like the idea of a Frankstein's monster-esque Charlie Nash, but I think the character design could have been somewhat better.

Looking great. I already sold my Xbone because I know SFV will never be coming to that console.

Bison's Back Bitches. I am now excited for this game. I just hope the PC netcode is good.

They said that Street Fighter V was PS4+PC only, but that doesn't mean that Super Street Fighter V won't come to the Xbone along with the rest of the addons that are sure to come.

@jeryhn88: This looks nothing like IV outside of having the ink effect, I don't really know what people sare seeing that I am not. What disappoints me is that this looks slower than IV, though that could be because it's still in early dev stages. (I hope so...)

That was pretty bad ass! Glad hes not a Guile clone. Move set looks pretty fun! Visuals are looksing really nice as well! Esp the lighting in the darker stage setting. Wonder what it looks like in a day light stage?

Why are people surprised to see Bison? I dont see a time frame for when this takes place. Is this supposed to be after SF2 when he died?

It's stylized to highlight the important parts. You're not gonna have fighters feel strong with tiny, normal human hands. That's why Makoto has monstrous feet.
