Dead Space 3's 'Awakened' DLC Looks Positively Horrifying

I had so many hopes for this DLC, only for it turn out to be 'The Continued Adventures of Action Man and Soldier Boy!'

Both Isaac and Carver should have stayed dead. Hell, I'm of the mind that thinks Isaac should have died at the end of the first one.

Nah, DS3's conclusion was actually fine. The real problem is that this looks like it's another back-tracking side mission aboard a ship that you already explored in the main game. I'm willing to keep an open mind though, hopefully GB will do a Quick Look or at least talk about it on the podcast.

I am actually encouraged that the DLC takes place after the main game. I really don't like the Mass Effect solution of just stuffing side quests into the game that are only accessible before you trigger the "final mission"

Well, whether you look at it as a positive or negative, as if it's EA trying to steal money from us, I'm still going to get this. I hope Isaac gets home safe :P... Really.

For me at least, that funny trait has the not-so-wonderful habit of making me feel obligated to replay the entire game again every time a new DLC hits. I'm glad for DS3's method, too.

Edit: Oh, you meant because of that shitty post-credits scene. Yeah, that's what I was specifically referring to. I guess ''stayed'' dead wasn't the correct way to phrase it. They should have died at the end of Dead Space 3 like it was inferred is what I meant.

Finished the game shortly after its release. Looking forward to this DLC. The more Dead Space I get the better. Btw. "The Art of Dead Space" is a pretty cool artbook. This comes from someone who is normally not into artbooks... ;)

I had to force myself through DS3 ... and I really liked 1 and 2 ... something about what they changed rubbed me the wrong way ... so, I'm not really interested to get this.

I love a horror game that waits until its DLC to be at it's "spookeesterest". Makes me feel even better about the main campaign...

Relax, some people were looking forward to this game, and *gasp* some people would like to play more of it in the form of DLC. Outrageous, I know.

On the other side of the coin, game prices fall rather quickly, so if you waited a short amount of time and got the game for 40$ and then picked up this for 15$, you're still 5$ under the full price not including tax.

This is what I did. And you could take it one step further and wait for the DLC to go on sale as well.

Jeez I didn't even finish the campaign because it was not "Dead Space" and now you're gonna tell me that this DLC, that released shortly after the game, is the scary game I was hoping for. Go screw EA. Go Screw.

I don't know about other countries but this is typically an American thing. I'm in Canada and Dead Space 3 is still $60 everywhere.
