I actually really like the deck they wrote for this. Epic enough. Destiny.

Ship jumping is a real test for depth perception.

Im pretty sure the best part of this fist video is watching jeff internally struggle about if he should push brad off the platform or not.

It's probably because he seems to have gone into it terrified. Which I can totally relate to because that's how I tend to go into team based stuff like this.

Haha, yeah. He seemed pretty nervous about it on the latest Beastcast, which they recorded just before the raid.

@efesell: Yeah he seemed pretty nervous, which I can understand. It did lead to a somewhat annoying amount of rambling on his part though.

This was pretty fun and I kinda want to get back to Destiny now. (Which would mean I'd have to buy the Taken King+Main Game, since I sold my original copy of Destiny way back, when the game annoyed the hell out of me.)

Jeff's face during some parts was simply priceless, very akin to the face he often makes when playing Mario Party.

Also everyone did a good job, but some of those wipes, especially in the last fight were heartbreaking.

I'm glad I watched this because I was totally on board with the idea of starting a brand new character by getting the bundle package on Xbox One (I have the original on PS4) but instead I now want nothing to do with this. This game just continues to baffle me.

I'm confused. I thought we all agreed a long time ago that first person platforming should never be a thing.

@bceagles128: You can go into third person on demand with a sword, and the platforming in actual raid fights actually puts the designated platform hopper into third person.

Anyways I'm trying to download this to watch on my phone later but I'm getting 'download failed' on parts 1 and 2...

edit: nevermind. Nvidia temp files had sneakily eaten my entire SSD and that was somehow preventing me from saving videos to a different drive.

Not to start a war or anything. But videos where people play FPS with controllers is hard to watch at times. Wish this came out on PC #sadface

I thought you had a shadow in destiny? I guess you don't in this environment? I feel that's half the difficulty of jumping in this section.

I'm curious how many people watch through all of these. I made it through the first 3/4ths of #1 and tapped out. Simply too dry. Destiny raids are like WoW raids except WOW's are full of interesting bosses.

I understand people who have preferences one way or another but not people who try to assert that there's something wrong with using a gamepad, you guys are weird.

This really doesn't seem... fun.

And I'm glad someone made the Turok reference, that was the first game I played with first-person platforming and I hated it. Getting motion sickness and throwing up because of it probably affected my opinion, though

Soooooo.... I remember tuning in real late to a live stream of destiny a few days back. I was told the whole stream was a total of 8hrs or close to. Is it that same stream that's been chopped into 4 parts?

On a related note, Bungie's protagonist in Halo: Reach, Noble Six, is named after the third and second to last words in that poem. Again, dropped the "hundred".

agreed. Yeah the shooting isn't as precise but kb+m controls are just really jumpy when you're not controlling it yourself and know what to expect/what will happen.
