I love Deus Ex HR's colour scheme, I certainly wouldn't want other games to adopt it, but I thought it worked incredibly well for the game.

I will likely buy this Deus Ex HR was pretty fantastic and if it truly has been made better? Awesome. Plus, what else am I going to buy on WiiU? :P

I wonder how the framerate will be. It can't be better right? I can only imagine it being worse. And it was pretty bad on the other consoles.

Loved the first Deus Ex, and Human Revolution. But it does feel like THIS is the game that should have come out 2 years ago, They finally had the time to flesh it out. I bet it is great either way though.

My metal band has a song about the a far-flung future, involving Deus Ex Concepts.

Check it out Duders!

Exactly what I was thinking. Sooooo bad. I was waiting for a shitty one-liner thrown in there too. "Deus time, he means business", or something.

I would pay upwards of five dollars to download this stuff to the PC version, not so much buy it all over again.

Only the WiiU? Sad. Especially since the changes seem to be a bit more meaningful than "YO LET'S SLAP A SHITTY-LOOKING OUTFIT ON BATMAN FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION OF THE GAME".

@icaria said:

Except DE:HR is not a train-wreck of a game and it's a bit a too early to consider the WiiU a train-wreck - but apart from that, I agree with everything you just wrote.

... reviewed very good and it was a very good game. Alright.

The narration on this video is weird. I already have Deus Ex so I won't be buying this but I wish I could play the new boss battles.

I wonder if Missing Link will be a separate option on a menu or if they'll slot it back into the game where it's meant to be

According to the wiki page it is seamlessly integrated

Too bad they couldn't update the boss battles on all platforms. Maybe I'll pick this when I eventually get a Wii U.

How about reading the wiki page. I put a lot of work into it ... tells you everything that they've said about this so far. Even bullet points versions have been out there for weeks, if you really want one of those.

Would be nice to see those purely gameplay tweaks and additions make their way to the PC version at a later date at least.

Maybe not - if you have as much grasp of English as the developers obviously did, share the direction sensibilities of Paul Verhoeven (blatant and fiction-breaking references aside), and think it is at all appropriate for a PC FPS to only be playable with a gamepad. That game is a fever dream of off-kilter dialogue and voice work (cheesy, obnoxious, obviously delivered without context or direction and occasionally bordering on racist), random bullshit quests and plot contrivances (Steam is telling me that I clocked 15 hours and I still have SFA idea what the hell was going on or why I was doing the things I was doing), broken scripting, broken PC controls, fiddly gameplay and a shitty UI. Never mind that it made Mass Effect's facile attempt at player agency seem profound by comparison.

Christ, the people who made DE:HR didn't even know what 'cyberpunk' is; the game was full of literal 80's throwback mohawk, piercing, and chain-laden break-dancers and hoons. By the time the setting had been wrung through French and/or Canadian translators, the game ended up being more The Young Ones than Johnny Mnemonic.

Iif I had a Wii U I would certainly buy this game again and play it again with these improvements when I found it cheap. I don't have one and don't plan on getting one so it's a shame they aren't patching the existing versions. Still its a good game for Wii U only gamers who didn't play it before.

This is far and away the worst cut, worst presented and worst narrated trailer for a game that I've seen recently.

What the hell?

Why not actually show off the features or, at least hint at them without the wonderfully obnoxious voice-over.

I might actually be tempted by this. I loved the 360 version, notwithstanding that its boss battles were about as enjoyable as leukaemia. In all other respects, it was excellent...

... hm. We shall see.

Really enjoyed HR despite some of it's problems. Are all the game characters still in a perpetual state of having just moved in or preparing to move out?
