Is it really zoomed in, or is it just me?

I don't know how I feel about this art style. I really don't want to use the word "lazy" but it just feels kind of uninspired. Wind Waker might've looked weird but its damn beautiful and unique, this is just "hey we took 3D Mario Land and put Zelda on it"

It's growing on me, but I get what you're saying. I think 'celda' is the best the franchise has ever looked. I also loved both the DS games and had hoped Nintendo would stick with that style. Aside from the touch controls they were already a lot like Link To The Past.

Still, I know my own gripes are temporary. Looking forward to it.

Looks like this could be fun, has a very apparent Polygon-ized link to the past art style to it. Kind of hoping the 3Ds cart is gold now.

Could have hewn a bit closer to the LttP look for my taste.

Oh well, at least that good classic theme is in it. I've never forgiven OoT for not having it. :P

@mystyr_e: I feel the laziness from the fact that they felt a "Sequel"/"remake" was necessary for LTTP.

I sort of feel the same way - there isn't anything that makes this stand out and look cool. Game looks like it could be fun, though.

I dont understand people. I remember yesterday when they announced the Wind Waker for the first time and everyone looked at the new art direction, everyone was blown away... in a bad way... Now, a couple of years in the future its their favorite Zelda art style... I dont get it... For me Wind Waker art its what Zelda needs. Its funny, childish and japanese. I would love a change of setting from the sea to forest and caverns more akin to Zelda but... that art in HD now...? I can wait more time >)

Congratulations Nintendo.

I'm not going to sell my 3DS now.

The weirdest part is seeing Link moving diagonally.

so awesome, yet another reason this year why Nintendo is blowing the 3DS lineup away! plus a new Smash Bros next year. and there's actually a bunch of stuff on the Nintendo Direct that makes me wanna buy a WiiU, like Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Country: Tropical Freeze and Mario Kart 8, just to name a few. Nintendo is definitely trying there best to grab new and old fans for their systems. already have my 3DS xL and getting ready to play my copy of Animal Crossing i just got today! and then the Last of Us this weekend. it's great to be a gamer, this Christmas season is gonna be nuts!

I hope someone doesn't mistake you for graffiti when your in 2D wall mode and try to wash you off.

I like the look. I just don't see why they reused the overworld. I love Link to the Past, but I'd love to explore a new map with the classic gameplay style. I dunno, I'm sure it'll be great.

I guess this is what I've been asking for all this time, but now that I see it, I'm not so sure.

I'm disappointed that they used the original overworld. I hope it expands the old overworld because it is tiny by today's standards.

It makes a lot more sense when you see this trailer in 3D on the 3DS.

and then they accounce the 2DS.... what is the point when 3DS games require the 3DS for puzzles?

Edited by iBushido

On Gamefaqs the two most anticipated released for November are this game and Super Mario 3D World. Nintendo still has what it takes to get everyone's attention and make great games. I think they should really consider either bowing out of the console wars and just either have a 3DS and make games for other consoles, or just going all out software company like Sega did. Everyone still wants the games, but I don't know many people that are gonna go out and buy a 3DS just for 1 or 2 games and I definitely don't know anyone that's gonna buy a Wii U for 1 or 2 games either.
