USE THE MP THING ON BRONO

Edited by Javking

Please use healing dual techs! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!

Finally!

Posted by LordCmdrStryker

You guys are making this look a lot harder than it really should be. I think I'm gonna play some Seiken Densetsu 3.

Luminaire is the most powerful magic attack in the game, but it does little damage as Brono's magic stat is low.

Confuse does a lot of damage, as Brono's physical stat is high. They need to ignore luminaire, or equip Brono with items to increase his magic stat.

So proud of you guys!!

Yes it is.

"As the most powerful tech damage-wise in Chrono Trigger, it dominates the battle field. Crono, however, has lower Magic Attack, than characters such as Magus and Lucca, and is seemingly wasted upon him, as his physical attacks are more worthwhile in battle. Equipping Crono with the Rainbow and Prism Spectaclescan replace a reliance upon this tech. However, should this tech be used, the player can outfit Crono with the Silver Stud or Golden Stud, to compensate for Crono's low Magic Point count. Additionally, using Magic Capsules on him can also compensate for his low Magic Attack."

It seemed a bit silly casting Haste when they are so slow on the draw for picking commands.

That rainbow shell looked like a turd, a big rust t-rex turd!

It allows them to hurry up and wait.

It certainly does.

The Bass in the Tyrano's Lair Theme is incredible.

Hooooly crap, you guys.

Dual healing techs.

Posted by AxleStukov

Gasp! They learned to equip elemental resistance gear! Something that would have helped wayyyy back on Giga Gaia too.

Posted by MediaJunky

You need the princess in your party to enter the castle. Let Barle join your party and then go back in.

Posted by Roy42

I feel bad for Snowsprite, having shown how the lineup of Brono, Barle and Bobo could brute force the Rust Tyrano, only to have them switch back to their superstar tag team.

But then, that's hardly surprising. Any excuse to switch back to Brog, no matter how many times they pass over Aura Whirl or Aura Beam. I have $20 riding on them still not putting Barle in their party, even if they were to acquire Lifeline, Which they won't, because they'll never put her in long enough to get that anyway.

Plus side of today's episode? Aside from Ryan still sounding like he wants to be there as much as Jeff did in the Ace Combat: Assault Horizon QL, they didn't get upset with the game for their own shortcomings.

Posted by MrBlueJackle

Not looking forward to the next episode... They're never going to take Barle to the castle and they're going to wander around talking to NPCs until they decide to move on to the next sidequest. I want some rainbow shell action!

Posted by Splodge

Im enjoying watching the guys figuring this out. Say what you want about their understanding of the games mechanics, at least they are trying!

WHY YOU NO MP UP!!

Posted by DudeSupreme

If they like using Confuse and Luminaire, they should really switch up that Gold Stud.

Hopefully they do the Sun Stone quest after this and get into the castle to get all the rainbow items.

"Let's keep that Red Vest, just in case we meet an enemy with a strong fire attack."

OH GOD, switching out Barle for Brog because he has dual tech heals. Durrrr...

You know they are going to get pummeled by the Sun Stone guardian. We should start a pool to guess how long it takes them to figure it out.

Get over it. It's not necessary to have Barle in the party to beat the Rust Tyranno or anything other than the follow up sidequest. Brono/Brog/Bobo is a perfectly fine team and if they feel like rolling with what they're used to, then there should be no issue with that.

I understand that it can be frustrating to see them bumble around sometimes, but some of the things that you guys complain about is ridiculous.

Posted by Viking_Funeral

I'm glad they're taking the game more seriously, but I'm wondering when they'll pick up some of the smaller stuff. Time will tell.

Don't feel bad Ryan and Patrick. At least you two are better at this than Jeff is at Blitz.

Is there lag in Ryans brain?

I would rather watch Brad fight wall ladies for eternity in hell than sit through this ridiculous episode again lol

I laughed out loud at that.

That and using an elixer on Bobo because "it gives full HP and MP". Bobo already had full(close enough) HP.

This. I hear the whiney tone people make when they are making fun of someone else's voice when I read most of the comments from the 'experts' as they seem to be. It must make them sooooo angry when the minutiae of the game, and more so things not so minute are not paid full and proper attention. I can almost hear all the asses squirming in seats. Nerd rage is a powerful and potent weapon in the war against dudes playing old RPG's on the internet.

"It's a race against the clock in some respect." When you're playing active time it's always a race against the clock. Unfortunately Ryan gets googlie eyed over menus and just sits in them staring at all of the options. And they leave speed on Brono instead of giving him the gold stud. Meanwhile Bobo has a speed of 6.

Patrick, why would you use an elixer when he isn't hurt at all?

Unbeatable? If instead of holding back they just hammered at him with everything they had they would have beat him before everyone went down. You guys play way too cautious, especially in active time battle mode.

But more than anything stop staring at the screen and DO SOMETHING. Or change it from active time so Ryan can play the way he wants to play.

Posted by nanasbananas

guys, you REALLY have to start reviewing your dual techs! so many better dual techs you can use than just the individual ones that have higher pay offs with lower MP usage!

This! I've said in a previous ep that they should switch to Wait mode, because they can't choose actions fast enough. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's seeing the problem.

Posted by DarthB

Dunno if it's just me, but this video seems like it's better quality than the rest of this endurance run. Hmm..

Posted by Max_Hydrogen

Fuckin' terrorists.

Posted by nanasbananas

Just read a couple comments, switch to "Wait mode" dudes. You'll get your ass kicked less while you decide what attacks you want to do.

Posted by nanasbananas

PROTIP

Those black treasure boxes you guys keep finding, go to the future and open them there for more powered up items of them.

Example:

1)Find black box in 600AD, go to 1000AD and open it there.

2) ????

3) PROFIT!

Posted by heatDrive88

Haste is sort of useless when you're not acting on it fast enough.

Posted by Darkecho117

After reading the comments sounds like this episode should be amazing! Can't wait to watch later today.

Posted by King9999

Congrats on the win! They finally discovered Cure Wave. Hopefully they'll find out where to get more flame vests so they don't get destroyed by Son of Sun.

Posted by Mezmero

You guys are the greatest Chrono Trigger players of all time!

Posted by jred250

Great job guys! I wasn't confident that you were going to get past the boss here, but I'm glad to be proven wrong!
