O hai there.

The wait begins.

Actually, I'm going to go take a nap.

Posted by NoDeath

With the page up this early, hopefully it will be up on time

Posted by awatermellon

time to wait

Posted by Dethfish

So is this gonna be Fridays episode? I'm confused. The page for 86 is up too.

Posted by Vlaphor

I think they released the Black Frost episode just to try to regulate the schedule of the post-E3 ER.  I would say that part 85 is Thursday's episode and 86 is Friday's.

Posted by Flabbergastrate

Dude, whatever. As long as I get the videos on the specific days I'm happy!

Posted by bagleyjw

it would be nice to see it early, i wanna see black frost in action

Posted by rentfn

I am going to cry if Black Frost is a bust.

Edited by skrutop

@20 minutes: Hey guys, the rush didn't work before because the cube had Defense Up on it.  Check the buffs, yo!

Man, the battle vids are brutal to watch.  I haven't played P4 at all and even I'm yelling at the screen for what they should do.

Posted by ToyDoll

aah Endurance Run, if i could make money out of watching you i wouldn''t get a career

Whey, timing!

I spent what seemed like an in-game week in the dungeon :)

Basically I did void quest until I was low on SP, then I went to the lower floors of another dungeon and rushed the enemies with an invigorating (level 2) persona and got all of my SP back  And by that point I had made far more money than the fox requires to refill everyone else's SP.

After doing that several times (always starting from level one on the void quest)  I now have like 200k yen

But this boss is a bitch, I am level 44 (with my A-team [replace chie with kanji]) and I lost the boss battle twice.  I need to actually manage my items like electric blocking ring, etc

Posted by funcmode

holy.. 90 SP's on 6 enemies? ;o

guess that's what happens when you shun mudo/hama for this long ;D
Posted by Curufinwe

Hehe, they really don't want Incubus.  There wasn't even a penalty card there.

Well, Kanji and Teddie are the only ones that will learn the party Attack Up spell (besides Charlie) which will be incredibly helpful on boss fights.  So...good luck with that if you insist on using the same characters from now on.

I think they should roll with Charlie/Yukiko/Chie/Kanji only because Yosuke and Teddie are mollycoddles.
Posted by Sarumarine

Heh, I'm glad you guys had as much fun on that floor as I did. I think I figured it out by the time I reached the stairs, but I can't tell with you guys. Oh well, you'll have plenty of time to deal with that later.

Posted by stallion74

i am afraid you have to search the whole level 7 otherwise you will not be able to confront the boss so try to familiarize yourselves with the pattern there

Posted by glasswall52

Yeah, YOU GUYS  HAVE TO CLEAR THE MINIBOSS ON LEVEL 7, otherwise you will get up to the main boss, it will tell you that you don't have the key for the door, and you will have to travel back down all the floors, which get re-scrambled, to level 7, fight all the enemies again, waste a ton of time, then go back up to the boss floor. I'm speaking from experience, it's gut wrenching. PLEASE GO BACK TO LEVEL 7!!!!!!

You don't REALLY need party wide attack buffs though. Most boss fights you need 1 dedicated healer and 1 dedicated condition remover/support healer/buffer, so that only really leaves 2 characters that can have turns open to deal damage anyway, the other 2 characters aren't using it. Most important in any boss fight is making sure your defence can hold up, if one character on your offense is dealing damage just a bit slower, all it means is 2 or 3 more turns fighting.

MORE important is to have debuffs. Rakunda costs half as much as Tarukaja, you get it about 30 levels earlier, yet against a single boss its exactly the same effect (though stacking both doesnt hurt if you have the SP). Ditto for Tarunda vs Marakukaja and Sukunda vs Sukukaja.

Posted by Vorbis

You missed a mini boss on the 7th floor, he will give you an item you need to open the main bosses door, so make sure you go back down to the 7th and kill him.

And I totally thought of Small Soldiers when you said Gorgon.

Posted by endaround

Their refusal to to clear entire floors is goling to bite them again but this time rather shortly instead of the long term thing of being underleveld to start dungeons.

Posted by Zeouterlimits

W00t, enjoyed this one.
  Kicked some ass!

Posted by Agent_Lost

dude, there a mini boss that you need to kill and get the key to open the Boss door.

Posted by Slaveg

Now that I got through persona 2 times already (thanks to ER), their wrong decisions kinda piss me off.

Posted by FrozenPhoenix

Like said above, you'll need to defeat the boss on Chapter 7 to open the Boss Door.

Also, don't forget to buy alot of Revival Beads when you go back to Inaba because the Shadow boss is pretty tough.

Posted by DVB

Chie is awesome, there's a jedi inside. ;)
Using B team might be bad...especially on floor 9.
As for black frost,he's awesome but nothing on this damn level attacks with those elements. Check if yousuke has one of those +20% wind attacks, they're pretty useful.Blessed hands is in one of the chests somewhere here, its +50% heal. Blessed hands+ yuki+medirama heals for 250+/-, all for 12sp.Couple that with physical PT attacks, thats 12 sp for charlie and chie to kill an entire party.
Its just an idea, nothing major. Can't wait to see the 2 hour boss batle >_<

Posted by xooo

Small tip: you should allways spin cards and get an empty card at least (if the personas are lame). Because you still can get arcana chance and there are some great cards (sp recovery, more money, more experience).

Edited by Church069

You missed the sub-boss on floor with the crazy maze.  You have to fight it in order to get the key to unlock to door where the boss of this dungeon is at.  I know the maze floor sucks, but it is best get the key before heading all the way up to the top floor just to find out you have to go back down to get the key

And would it kill you all to go for the (player advantage), just waiting for the enemy to come to you is not working out.  It really makes it easier guys.

Posted by SunKing

I understand the need to grind EXPs and clear dungeons, but even I am losing endurance for the ER. I can't wait until they get to the boss and finish this thing. Maybe then we can move onto more Japanease–English double-entendres.

Posted by Myomoto

You guys do know you haven't got the little demon/devil thing yet, right? Also he's pretty awesome, he gets a fear all spell, as well as a spell that instant kills all enemies that are feared.

Posted by Reverseface

REALLY BURNING IT UP ON THE DANCE FLOOR THERE.

Edited by Aaox

Yo, man. Stop on a dime student returns, but now he's Turn on a dime student. Aww yeah, throwbacks. Also, Rise's social link stuff is awesome.

Edited by Nexas

You guys need to keep Black Frost in so he can learn Agidyne. It will make the boss alot easier.

Posted by drew327
@AllanIceman: LOL.  I listen to the Jim Rome show and hear that sound bite occasionally :)
Posted by drew327

I vote for spending time S. Linking now, enough in the dungeon!

Posted by ArcticDonkey

Hey guys you need to go back to floor 7 and fight the mini boss. If you don't then you won't be able to fight the proper boss. Also it's great that you made Black Frost but you need to do more then cast zio with him.

Posted by MeatSim

Yea floor 7 of the void quest is probably one of the most annoying parts of the game.

Outside of situation where your healer is weak to the bosses element, defense is a total non-issue, just equip Yukiko with Blessed Hands and cast Mediarama each turn to keep the other two topped up to full health. Have Kanji using the Party Attack up and have Chie and Charlie use the turn where the spell wears up/before he first casts it to use either Mind Charge or Power Charge, so you inflict some serious hurt in the next round.

Yet another great episode. Looking forward to more, hopefully next episode you'll go and fight that midboss to get the item.

Well, when I fought him he would regularly take down 2/3rds of my teams health unbuffed, and was inflicting exaustion or fear on party members every other turn. Definitely needed 2 characters healing/removing conditions/tarundaing/Marakukajing at all times or I would have wiped. I was on hard mode though, but the point still stands that as long as your defence is good enough, the boss will die.  Dealing about 15-20% less overall damage per turn ain't a killer. Agidyne + Fire amp + mind boost with chie buffing tarukaja and rakunda on the boss pretty much wipes the floor with him anyway because you hit 1k damage, who cares if chie might deal 140 instead of 100?

Where did you get a Blessed Hand that early? I never got one of those until like level 60 (useless since you are casting diarahan anyway).

EDIT: BTW... Kanji doesn't even get matarukaja until the 60s. Pretty sure you didn't have him casting it against the void quest boss. Teddie gets it at level 42, just about when you fight the boss.

1. make chie forget her ice skills. they suck. she is a phys girl. teddy is better for ice.
2. now that u have black frost... USE MIND CHARGE!!!! it makes the next spell you cast MAD OP. that combined with tarukaja turns blackfrosts hi magic into an unbeatable persona!

Posted by GnsDemon

Great Stuff Guys. I really Liked the End Floor Boss. He was really weird, Which makes sense. we are playing Persona 4...

Dude, its NEVER worth forgetting the ice skills. All chie should have other then ice spells are:
1. Strongest AoE physical
2. Strongest Single Target physical
3. Power Charge
4. Strongest Counter Skill (Won't stack so you only need one)
5. Tarukaja
6. Skull Cracker (maybe, for the confusion)

Past that, there is absolutely NO other skills she would use other then ice. Depending on whether you care about skull cracker (its of negligable use, but I listed it to be conservative regarded what you would ever possibly think of using), you have room for Mabufu, Bufula, and/or Ice boost. Sure her ice only does a piddling amount of damage, BUT if it knocks down the last enemy thats an all out attack for hundreds. And not using them means chie never gets to take advantage of what SP she has.

Vinny and Jeff, Third Eye tells you which of your attacks will work and which won't- at least thats what it is in Persona 3!

Peace

Posted by LordAndrew

They're going to have to figure out how Chapter 7 works eventually...

Posted by ChibiSoma

On the up side, they're still a bit low... the extra fighting will be good for them. I desperately don't want Shadow Mitsuo to be their run stopper. Dude has a billion skills, all of which REALLY god damn hurt.

I love getting parts of the Endurance Run around lunch. Pizza + Persona = <3

How many times to people need to comment,

Leave her! even with everything, he was higher level than her....
