I am annoyed that they are not releasing ANY of the DLC for WiiU. I got a WiiU copy to play with my friend who only has a WiiU and the original set of maps is getting really stale.

I haven't played a Call of Duty game since Call of Duty 2. I just.... I have nightmares about how terrible all of those Medal of Honor shooters were. Plus I got burned out on generic deathmatch shooters with Doom, Unreal, the first Halo, and Tribes. Am I really missing much? They're still just kind of the same old thing, right? Aside from stealing the whole perk system business from Fallout or whatever may have used that system before it.

I do appreciate Treyarch making some neat design decisions with their maps (Hazard on BlOps 1 was a fantastic design, remaking a WaW map as a golf course). Sadly my XBL Gold ran out a couple of months back, and as BlOps 2 was about the only thing I was using it for (and even that not all that often), I doubt I'll bother resubbing just to play a little bit more.

Imma get this. Purely due to the paintball map. Also Treyarch is great at selling why their stuff is great.

If you didn't play the original Modern Warfare, you missed a great game. The way the perk system and loadouts worked was great, and not pulled from Fallout. The following games featured improvements and increased flexibility, particularly with selectable killstreaks, but were very iterative, and certainly the campaigns did not hold the same punch as they had to come up with increasingly bombastic moments. Actually, I have to imagine you are either trolling or have lived under a rock for the last seven or eight years.

@hs_alpha_wolf: Man, I don't even have the words. I just don't know how the games are popular and I've never really had an interest in finding out. I'm not trolling or anything like that. It's not even that I'm some casual gamer or anything. I play an unhealthy amount of games, I've just ignored CoD since hell idk the release date for CoD 2. I guess it was around 2005. Maybe I'll take a look, though. They're probably popular for a reason.

Also I think my real reason for not getting into CoD is my same reason for not getting into LoL or DoTA. That rinse and repeat repetitive multiplayer stuff just doesn't spark an interest in me anymore. I think I'm just burned out on that kind of gameplay. Is the singleplayer campaign stuff any good at all?

I bought BO:2 when it was $30 on Amazon I haven not put much time into it even though I have the DLC's. It got boring pretty quick. I originally was going to stop after I got MW3 but was convinced my friend was going to keep playing after I bought it. Oh well at least my younger brother that lives with me enjoys is still... when he does play.

I remember playing on a paintball course way back in COD1, and check this, I didn't even have to pay extra for the privilege. Hooray for modern developments like the demise of the private server and free custom maps!
