I'm probably one of the biggest fan of the Soul's series. Even to go so far as to play through the King's Field series because of them. I cannot believe I missed this alpha test. Ugh.

@joelalfaro: That's definitely not sudden, and you can count me among them. I was disappointed with the series since the first release. Wasn't a fan of the Batman games, either.

  • Stimpack posted a message on the post Fox Hunt Retrospective.

Oh, boy. It's funny what connections can be made. I decided to watch some of Ryckert's Game Informer series "Replay" and Fox Hunt was the game of choice for this particular episode. In deciding to lo...

@cerberus3dog: Eh, I'm willing to cut them some slack, considering they aren't really used to developing loot-based games. That said, there are numerous other problems that can't be excused. But that...

  • Stimpack posted a message in the forum topic So these PC specs are pretty cray-cray. on the The Evil Within board

It's not that crazy, and it's what we can start to expect from newer games. More detailed textures will require more space and more ram, plus open-world gaming is starting to become the norm. If anyo...

Hey, Steve Lin!Seems kind of disturbing. Something about the art of the player character seems ill-fitting to me, though.

Vinny, I don't think you grew up with Naruto. I'm pretty sure you were in your 20's when you saw it.

  • Stimpack posted a message on the post Quick Look: Wasteland 2.

@metalhammer: No problem, it's a solid choice. Just to add to the Divinity thing, I know he mentioned something about minor annoyances such as having to a button to make the vendor add his gold when t...

  • Stimpack posted a message on the post Quick Look: Wasteland 2.

@arbitrarywater: I feel like there's always been a divide between CRPG players. Some CRPGs focus mainly on combat and have horrendous stories and dialogue. Some focus on story and dialogue and have t...

@gike987: I've recently gone back and played the Fallout titles. You have no idea how many times I hear the "rose-tinted glasses" thing. I'd perhaps agree that this is a better starting point, but it...

  • Stimpack posted a message on the post Quick Look: Wasteland 2.

@rowr: There's really not much of a "Charming" quality to those visuals. In terms of "old school" some old CRPG stuff holds up alright, pixel art stuff has a charming quality, and some hand-drawn art...

  • Stimpack posted a message on the post Quick Look: Wasteland 2.
