Firefall In Action

• Project leads coming from Vanilla WoW and the Tribes franchise?
• Playerskill driven Shooter gameplay with an MMO twist? 
• Free 2 Play and looks AAA?

I want it but my laptop  says i can't have it.. stupid underpowered laptop not letting me play the things i wanna play :(

Hopefully get into the beta to try this. Don't like the reload animations or the time it took to get to the other area.

I really don't know why some people are complaining about this. This looks like the best you can get for a free 2 play.

This "Tribes meets Borderlands" game looks awesome!

I don't entirely dig the character design, but I'm always interested in MMO shooters. Worth a (quick)look, at least.

When I saw the CGI trailer I suspected that this game might have a cartoonish (borderlands?) art direction. 
 
This game looks like a lot of fun, and the video continually got more awesome over the ten minutes.

when he first went to first person mode i didnt even notice it, and then I was like woah. But that is interesting that it is a free to play mmo... we will see how it turns out. It looks good.

I couldn't get the Normandy's voice out of my head while listening to the voice in this trailer. The game looks great though. It can obviously be compared to Borderlands, but there's enough going on here to make it unique. Not to mention the talent of the studio making it. Oh, and "Red 5 standing by."

Maybe ppl are sceptical due to the fact it's free to play.  You offer something to someone for nothing and their immediate reaction can often be, 'why, what's wrong with it?'  I don't think that from this video there is any evidence that this game is far from finished or deserves such scepticism, scepticism that wouldn't be found in posts for a full retail game.   
 
Everyone has bought a game that retails at release less than the standard and accepts said games short comings because of this drop in price (or not depending on how naive they are) I think this is the feeling people may be dealing with when they make comments about this game being similar to other games that have guns in them.  I don't play pc games so in all honesty probably won't find myself playing this but i will follow this game out of interest because it genuinely teases with the possibility of offering an experience that builds on what other games currently offer, also i was in starship trooper mode when all the insects were getting blown apart.  Or maybe theres no such thing as a free lunch, or maybe you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth or maybe you should look the horse in the mouth then eat the horse.

eh, looks a little cartoony for me. i don't mind cartoony looking shooters, i love ratchet and clank, but when you try to make space marines cartoony like that it just looks weird.

Borderlands meets WoW.

Looks like Borderlands with a better variety of moves and action. I mean, Borderlands tried to have a real good variety of weapons, but really the best way to differentiate guns is to have dramatic and instantly noticeable differences rather than let numbers do all the talking. 
 
I'll happily pay 0 dollars for this, sure.

This game looks very strange. Yet somehow very intriguing... if they got rid of the bro-ness I could definitely get into this. 

 I love how the logo is oddly reminiscent of Starcraft 2's logo treatment and animation. Red 5 paying their tributes? But yeah this game looks alright, I'd definitely check it out if it's free to play! hah!

Hmmm. I get the feeling they were trying to trick us into thinking this was actually massively multiplayer. My fear is that this'll just turn into some lame instanced shitfest.

We ought to create a guild/clan for that kinda like how we did with Runes of Magic!  If it's good of course..

i think this looks really cool. the art style is off-putting to me, but i like the idea of an MMO shooter. it was cool to see all those firefights going on as the ship flew toward the city. and it's free to play? hot damn. i'm going to try it.

Dude FREE TO PLAY? Why in the world are there so many comments complaining about how it looks borderlands-ish or the...the freakin armor isn't cool enough? You can PAY for your armor and Borderlands, while I'll be ridiculously happy supporting ex-Blizzard homies and playing this good looking game FREE WTF it must be a trick

Unless I missed something, the player had infinite ammo - but still needed to reload? Wouldn't a Mass Effect style ammo system/explanation been a little better system to have integrated into this universe?
 
It wasn't clear to me if you could heal/repair the mining gear you had to defend. I hope they'll at least grant an ability or tool for that at some point.
 
The flyby was a nice way to preview that landscape, but it wasn't clear to me if the player were in control of the ship or not (I doubt it). I hope you can skip/warp back to certain locations if you desire.
 
In all honesty, the most interesting thing visually for me was the gun when you looked down the iron-sights to aim. Something about the balance between the blur/focus and the gun animation had a nice aesthetic about it.
 
So yeah, I guess this preview left me pretty sceptical and underwhelmed.

Well. From not being excited by the cinematic trailer at all to being stoked from this trailer.Looks fun.

After watching that video I am officially excited for this!

I seem to be the only one who is looking forward to this Borderlands-Halo MMO mashup. Can't wait.
