From Japan Comes A Look At The HD Ports Of Ico And Shadow of the Colossus

Does anybody know where to get the music in the trailer? That stuff is amazing. 

Never played either game before but I've heard so many good things. I can't wait to play this!

I love the music in this trailer! I also love the way the announcer pronounces playstation threeyo.

The only re-make i'm buying this generation is gonna be Halo Anniversary, because it's seems they actually put in tons of effort to make that game. 

Now if I only I had a PS3.

It actually makes me kinda sad when I see people who didnt like the way Agro controlled. It was one of my favorite parts about the game. I enjoyed the exploration so god damn much and doing it on Agro with his gorgeous animation and sense of character was just the cherry on top. I loved having the sense that he was a living horse rather than just four extra limbs for Wander. When your going down a path and Agro will navigate it by himself as any horse would, thats what gave me a strong connnection to him. By the end of the game I was very attached to Agro and the way he controlled ended up being a big part of that.

I guess you can call me crazy if you want but I feel SOTC still has the best feeling control scheme for a horse over any other game.

I never expected to get the chills from watching a trailer for an old game(s) I've never played.

I loved SotC but never played Ico. I'm definitely buying the collection when it comes out.

Can't wait to revisit these amazing games, plus get some trophies for em!

I don't have an hd ps2 in my cupboard, and my backwards compatible ps3 gave up, so I'll give this a hit!

SotC is an amazing game. However I own it and I still have a PS2 in the cupboard so I'll give it a miss.

@Hilts: They are being sold separately in Japan (and thus this Japanese trailer highlights that). In the US, we're getting them packaged together.

I love these 2 games the best. At the end of the video it looked like they are planning to sell them seperately!! I would only be interested in buying these as a double pack.

Can't believe ICO is over 10 years old already. Fucking amazing pair of games, can't wait for this re-release.

@MajorToms: It's more of an uprezzing than a remake. I don't think they brought on new artists to redo textures or anything like that. So yes, you personally shouldn't care about it.

@Turambar: If you haven't played Ico before, I strongly recommend it. I recommend it even if you have played Ico before, although if you've played it before you probably won't care about a random persons recommendations.

The ending on shadow of the Colossus is SO SAD...

Fuck yeah, never finished Colossus. Definitely getting this for the HD graphics and better framerate.

shadow is one of my all time favorite games, but i never played ICO i dont have a PS3 so ill gave to find a PS2 version

I'll take these over Halo Anniversary any day of the week.

I like Mega64´s Ico better.

As someone who never played Ico or SotC I am very excited about this release. I can't wait!

I'll finally be able to finish ICO after.. not finishing it when I borrowed it that one time.

Hope the box isn't ridiculously overpriced over here.

That's because this is a port of the original games as they were released running on new hardware, whereas Halo Anniversary is map and texture data running on a modern engine.

Kind of like a map pack to Halo: Reach rather than a port.

That makes sense. With that in mind, I don't think I would want to play for this unless I hadn't played them before. I understand that some people might be really into it, but there just doesn't seem to be enough there after not very much time to justify buying this. Of course if I hadn't played them before then it would be a fantastic value.

26. I just never felt i needed to play it, never really appealed to me.

Also i have never played and beat a zelda game, yet i own almost every zelda game from NES-Wii
