I'm with Dan with the aioli, I'd try those out except for the horse radish one.

That's the only one I really want to try, horse radish is amazing. The only reason people aren't into it is because it's called "horse radish".

It tastes like pain. That's why most people don't like it. And most animals, which is the reason horseradish exists at all.

"Aioli" literally means "garlic and oil". How can you have bacon aioli? That's an oxymoron. Aioli is the name of the flavour of mayonnaise already. It's like saying you had an apple banana split, or that you had a beef chicken nugget.

Thanks, Bo! Thanks, Aioli Guy!

COFFEE TWICE? YOU ARE A FUCKING ADULT. FUCK YOU GODDAMNIT DAN FUCK SHIT!

Dan is the most polarizing figure I've encountered. After every absolutely inane thing he says, i have to remind myself of his love of MGS.

Fuck.

Dan.

Come on, man.

Both times were this year. So I was 30 without tasting coffee. I had coffee-flavored Jelly Bellies though.

I can only hope to match this length of time without tasting coffee again.

You do drink tea (of any sort), right?

Dan is awesome! He's like from another planet, having the strangest reactions to the most mundane things. As the usual "odd guy around people" this reminds me a lot of myself :D

@jeff You want to harvest human energy for something like a car? How about a car running on blood, like a Blood Car:

Bringing Dan in at Giant Bomb is changing my little bubble of human interaction. It reminds me that more people are around the country.

Jeff: Not liking coffee is un-American.

But I'll forgive you for that and for not liking mayonnaise, because I'm assuming that American coffee and mayonnaise are loaded with corn syrup and sugar.

Posted by SupberUber

Dan: laserdick

Drew: ..sorry?

I cracked up when I understood what he was actually trying to convey.

I love Dan because he's a hilarious idiot. I can feel great when I enjoy the same things he does (MGS, Norm MacDonald), and when he says something ludicrous like The Walking Dead being terrible, I can laugh it off because he's barely functional and cooked cheese-dogs in a shoebox.

@cocowawa: nah, he's just been getting hella fat over the past few months. Once on the bombcast he mentioned some new medication, and I wonder if it's a side effect. Or his garbage eating is just catching up with him.

Edited by bossingtonhuggermugger

"Kids and grownups love it so, the wonderful world of Haribo!"

Drew nailed it, Haribo is German

Wait, someone at GB actually likes salmiakki and black licorice?! This is great news.

"Sören? isn't that the bad guy from LotR?" - Best comment in this video to me. :D Dan, you are the best! Great addition to bombsquad. Simply a-mazing.

Posted by whatisdelicious

Sometimes I wish they'd pull Jason in more since he's always behind the scenes and not on the Bombcast, but then we'd actually want him in stuff and then you have the same problem as before with Drew and Jason switching off for video engineering stuff instead of Vinny and Drew.

Plus I don't want to pull that man away from his duties. He's a machine. He's been posting quick looks at like 5:30 AM pacific time, which is crazy.

@brad...egg whites? You're better than this. Mayo uses the yolk. I know the air is full of food ignorance over there, but do try to avoid catching it.

Dude, what? Do a quick google search

Mayonnaise is nothing else but tons of oil, tons of egg yolk and some vinegar or lemon juice. There's egg yolk free mayonnaise for people who don't want a cholesterol overload but it tastes nothing like real mayonnaise.

Once my girlfriend decided to make a home made mayo, and I saw how much oil and eggs go into that I decided to reduce my intake of it to a minimum.

@efesell: Yeah seriously. I assume that's why the one dude just sent regular-ass salt. Like, sure, everybody in the office looked at it like "why would you send salt?" but c'mon the man's had coffee twice in his entire life anything's fair game.

I had a roommate my junior year of college who asked us how to make tea and it blew our minds. Dan makes that guy seem like goddamn Gordon Ramsay.

Posted by lowestformofwit

Having coffee twice in his life... ha ha. I have more cups than that PER DAY.

Edited by whatisdelicious

Somebody get @danryckert to eat a tomato sandwich on camera.

I only just got introduced to them in the last few weeks and, as someone who gags at the mere concept of mayonnaise, it sounded like the most disgusting thing: White bread slathered in mayonnaise with tomatoes, salt and pepper. Like what? How could that possibly be good?

It actually wasn't terrible.

Edited by whatisdelicious

@giantlizardking: Not to take away from Jason's machine status, but I would assume those are just scheduled to post then rather than him pulling bleary-eyed all-nighters to ensure the world is exposed to Akiba's Trip with the urgency that game deserves. The man is still definitely a machine though. Wasn't even tempted by the allure of the camera here.

Great mailbag, it was hard to hear Dan from over the desk good thing Jeff moved closer.

I still wonder, does Coke have the same taste in different countries? I live in Romania and had a Coke in Serbia and it tasted really bad, I don't know if it was because I was really thirsty or do they use more water over there, it tasted like coke with water, fucking horrible.

Posted by razatron

He only tried coffee twice?! I drink at least 3 cups a day.

As someone who would be considered an "intermational audience", I'm Canadian, I never heard those songs in my life, I'm 34. I can't recall any of them in movies either. Maybe Skynyrd is popular in the bible belt, but from here they have one hit, that's where I was coming from. I wasn't trying to imply they suck or can't play. Was just teasing. : P

It tastes slightly different in most countries. I'm not sure if it simply comes down to the water they use to produce it (they use local water and add concentrated Coke syrup to it), or if they alter other stuff depending on the general taste in different countries. Swedish, Danish and Norwegian Coke tastes alike, and seems to be more strongly carbonated than in Germany, Poland and Italy. Egyptian and Italian Coke had a really odd grape flavor to them when I last tried them.

Then of course, the US and EU use different sweeteners, so US and European Coke taste very different over all, beyond the differences inbetween European countries.

Pre-dinner snack! It's good for you!

Edit: Some nice Swedish pronunciation by Dan btw. Pretty off but actually fairly understandable which is a lot better than most =)

Also I would like to point out that the salt on salt licorice is not the same as table salt. Table salt is Sodium Chloride while Salmiak is Ammonium Chloride.
