Most likes in game, beginning part I'm not so sure though.

If it runs at 60 FPS, I'll be satisfied.

I'm guessing it's photo-mode in the game.

To answer your question Brad: No I don't think it's in-engine footage. I'd like to see the car in-game with other cars.

It's pre-rendered, but honestly it looks like pre-rendered was the way to go considering how much smoother this video is compared the the Forza one.

The cars lack any jaggys which leads me to believe this is fake. Only PC games with AA settings at max really hide it

After sony's move with the original killzone 2 trailer. I would say this is real cause they wouldn't pull that crap again and if it is real. WOW

Given that it looks pretty similar to GT5:P's replay footage, then I'd wager that it is ingame, yes. Or at least "ingame replay" mode, which certainly isn't prerendered.

Their was alot of aliasing on that models edges, aliasing only appears in cgi being run in real time as most pre-rendered cgi pretty much has perfect anti-aliasing.

It's replay mode footage, so yes it's ingame.

Forza had a better trailer, but GT looks better in my opinion.

No, this video is made using ray tracing and at least 4xAA
When playing, the game has no ray tracing (except on garage and photo mode) and 2xAA (depending on resolution)
 
Why did they make this video?
They say it's a tribute to the car, my guess? just another video for fanboys that don't know how the game actually is technically to be amazed at and produce more hype.

I wouldn't but anything past the Gran Turismo team. I say its in engine footage. Even if you go back to Gran Turismo 4 that game still looks awesome.

Okay, I'll give the benefit of the doubt, but the company is famous for smoke and mirrors. Kinda like Square/Enix.  The part that really strikes me as pre-rendered is the initial shadowy shots.  The driving footage seems totally plausible, specially after playing games like PGR and Dirt.

From what we've seen so far, (and the track if you look at it closely), this is in game, or as someone said at least replay mode, and let me say WOW!  (for any doubters why else would it say "powered by gran turismo" if its not using the gran turismo engine hmmmm?)
And boo to you for all those of you who think this has been taking too long to come out :) its looking worth the wait!

GT5 cuts the frame rate in half during replay mode, allowing it to up the AA and some other features to make the graphics really shine (This is probably the main reason GT replays will continue to look so much better than Forza replays). That said there is no way this is in game. I think it's all in-game assets but pre-rendered to really make the details shine. My reasoning for this is that Forza 3 in-game looks much, much better so far than GT5 has. I mean, ALL the GT5 trailers have looked absolutely stunning, and the replay mode really makes the game shine but...when you actually watch people play the game, Forza 3 always winds up looking better.  
 
Aren't they targeting 1080P @ 60 FPS for this game? If that's the case there is no chance in hell they could maintain this level of detail at those settings. The PS3 simply lacks the balls for that kind of rendering.

I think it's a mix of in-game and pre-rendered footage. It looks slightly better than the Forza 3 footage I must admit, but Forza games play better that's for sure.
