This is why Rockstar is one of the best. Did they need to reinvent their multiplayer? No.

This looks like the logical progression of Red Dead's online mode, and I can't wait. Just wish I knew more people that are going to pick up the game.

I can't get hyped for this.

Far Cry 3 and Saints Row barely work on the current gen stuff, and both of those don't even compare to what GTAV looks like. And now they keep adding complexity, putting it miles ahead of both of those games in system usage.

I guess they are spending additional time without a PC version specifically to tune these issues, but you can only polish a turd so much. There's no way I can sanely preorder this without first watching the Quicklook.

@authenticm: when did rockstar make a big deal of 4's multiplayer? It was all about that natural ragdoll physics back then if I'm not mistaken

The multiplayer in Red Dead was really fun with how fights can break out with the entire lobby at any time. This looks to have the same feel to it.

Much like RDR's multiplayer, sounds like the kind of "MMO" I would actually want to play. Hopefully this has a solid PC release that ups the player count.

I had zero fun with GTAIV's multiplayer, so the fact I can even get hyped at all is a testament to the work Rockstar has put into 5's.

I've found myself bored to tears with multiplayer games. The last one to draw me in was Bad Company 2. This does look good and since I'm getting GTA5 anyway I will give this a shot.

I agree it will come out on different platforms eventually. I see them doing a PC version before a PS4 or XBONE version. Likely won't hear anything about it until 2014. If I remember correctly, the PC version of GTA IV didn't come out until over a year after the console versions. Hopefully we won't be waiting that long, but could be. A PC version is inevitable though.

This looks pretty ambitious, too bad it'll probably just wind up with everyone just playing deathmatch or some other really basic mode.

That's really, really cool. Now Rockstar just needs to reinvent reality so that every game you jump into isn't just impromptu deathmatches and people doing doughnuts after the first week or so.
