I freaking love the idea of the story! I didnt think Max payne could go into a decent direction!

Man, they're making São Paulo look like Hell. THAT'S AWESOME! Also, i love Max Payne trailers because there's always another brazilian commenting.

Pretty great looking. Seems like this is just straight John Woo action movie, no more noir. Looks like a fun story.

Why is that effect on the title reminding me of K&L 2 and BF3? Weird, they didn't invent that pixelation effect. I thought I could not buy a game this year and keep finishing things from my backlog, but, goddamnit, R* is making it tough.

Day one purchase.

Jesus, I love everything about this game. From the style, to the graphics, to the action, to São Paulo... It's looking so good.

Neither one, it looks like. The whole point of Max Payne 2's ending (whichever one you get) is that Max was finally okay with what happened to his family. You know, the big, life-changing event that drove him to the dark side in the first place. The last line in either ending is "I had a dream about my wife. She was dead. But it was alright" which signified that Max had dealt with his issues, and he was at peace. The idea that Rockstar took a giant piss all over that by reverting Max back into a drug-addled, alcoholic mess is bullshit.

The game itself looks good, but I severely dislike the idea of MP3 being predicated on a retcon.

watching the trailer makes me wonder how the hell they messed up the movie

I am looking forward to this, but the graphics are by no means good enough to put that "this was made with real footage" tag at the end.

Apart from the monologues, I'm getting more of a Jack Bauer than a Max Payne vibe from him when he's talking. Looks like a fun game, but I'm still not convinced they did right by the character of Max.

Im excited to play this. i just hope its as good as they make it seem...

Everything. I played through 2 three or four times.

Seriously seriously worried about 3 though. Different developer and I'm really not down with the decision to kill off the comic book story telling sequences.

I'm not really sure why Max Payne cares about any of this. Rich people problems and club-hopping trophy wives?

It's still James McCaffrey, though he sounds a bit off at points. He also does Max's motion capture.

Hearing his voice again reminded me that he could voice Sam Fisher wonderfully if they decide to let ironside go.

@Oldirtybearon: Oh I get all that. I just want to know if we'll hear any mention of Mona. I'm a bit of a romantic, so I'd like to think they went with the more positive ending (unlikely, seeing the shape Max is in for this one). It will be disappointing if they ignore the issue completely.

After watching this and listening to Sam Lake justify the changes in Max's life in a very logical way, I decided to give this game a chance once again, but they're making it hard for me to do that. 
 
He sounds like the guy from 24, the style of the action and presentation feel like Kane & Lynch 2, the focus is on a daylight setting with a lot of shouting and screaming, the mesmerizing night time vibe with the inner monologues while walking in the shadows is non-existent, the story, while making sense after listening to Sam Lake's spin on it, still seems way too boring and generic for a Max Payne game.. 
 
After L.A. Noire, R* has lost my trust. Will wait for reviews and gameplay videos before buying, and I doubt I will buy it.
