Game looks fine to me. I'm diggin' the disturbing vibe. Hopefully the story holds up.

Does look dated to me, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Atmosphere and all that. And in fact, I find the atmosphere posed by this trailer to be doing it's job pretty efficiently.

I do not particularly care for horror, though I deal with it in games pretty well. This I found disturbing. Whereas The Binding of Isaac doesn't because I think I understand the theme underneath. And I can have a dark sense of humor. But except for the outlast like dude at the end, this trailer is full frontal-weird ass. Pretty good, really.

And of course I have a nice computer waiting for it if they do a PC port... Pat has to be interested in tis I would think.

Really should have captured from the PC version for that trailer.

Is this trailer last gen? I thought there was a PS4/X1 version coming too.

Well, I didn't mean all that because I do understand what your saying. I just don't think people should turn into OCD Perfectionists when it comes to graphics and that's what I'm seeing a lot.

@str33tph4rm: I think graphics and gameplay are both important. A game should play well and also have a strong visual style with technical flair. That is the ideal. Yes, a good game can have shoddy graphics occasionally, but that's not something we should be complacent about. Nor should you expect a visually stunning game with lackluster gameplay. You should expect the best from your games.

Oh please if you think thats what I meant, judge a game on whether its a good game by looking at a trailer then you are simple minded. Just saying too many people nitpick about stupid things.

Because WE CAN'T DO THAT WITH A TRAILER.

I'm most worried about the house and sunflower field. That seems like it was supposed to creep the character out more than the player.

Woah, didn't expect to be interested in this game. I'm a sucker for games with good looking crazy monsters.

A lot of people seem down because it's not a real mental hospital killer place. I'm psyched about playing a game about having my(the character's) mind be broken and traversing through horrors brought on by it. The movement also looks interesting, but I really wonder how they're gonna twist all the interactivity and modern control with the horror. Modern horror in other games seems to be moving towards observing and escaping, not fighting at all.

Those that complain about graphics = Didn't get to play in the 80's.

When I start seeing people complain about "textures" and judging a whole game on graphics that they don't think are up to par. I hate the human race and especially gamers even more. Some of us, SOME of us are impossible to please I swear. Why not just judge the game on whether its a GOOD GAME?

Does a horror game need a Sephiroth? I don't think so.

This is too well lit to be a good horror game. If I can see the details of the enemy design clearly, that's too much light. Detail generally being visible is less scary as a rule. Scary shit you imagine is much more frightening than scary shit you are shown and think to yourself okay that is a lot of barbed wire and stitches and stuff and I'm sure that thing doesn't smell great. :/

I'm really up for this. What is it about mental hospitals that always manage to attract bad vibes though? These things never start at an acid party or something.

I never did get any other thing out of it that it would have monsters. The freeky multible handed woman was there in the start so I dont know what trailers you been watching. I know that the gameplay they showed just showed the one huge butcher dude, but I didnt think that would be the only person in that game.

I for one am amazed that people say the graphics are shit. They are good enough. It doesnt look realy awesome like some one said but it is good enough graphics and I think they are kind of same level as dark souls 2 has. I still am waiting to see more of this game and more info for people who will test it out in E3.

Looks good enough and I hope we will get a good AAA-horror game out of cause we need those too. Like Square enix have said that they have seen error of their ways and not catering to the masses but to make games that are good games that people who like that genre will love it. I hope this takes that same idea in to their hearths too and make really good survival horror game.

If "The Evil Within" just turns out to be a better looking "The Suffering" I will be A.O.K. with that. Sadly, "The Suffering" does not hold up technically, but it had some awesome heavy-metal-horror hooks in it.

Stopped the trailer half way through.. There is enough original imagery that I'm sold, and don't want any spoilers.

Looks like a spiritual successor to Resident Evil 4. Which is cool, cuz I think that game is pretty good!

I don't get it..didn't it look better in an old gameplay video I saw? I guess that happens often enough and is possible. Was really grossed out by some of the textures mainly because in my head the game had looked much better but now I'm not sure it actually did. I still love everything else that seems to be going on atleast.

As much as I'm looking forward to this, I couldn't help but groan at the mention of another Mental Hospital.

I had a fantasy version of this game in my head too. I don't know why I was expecting more than what seems to be a carnival of cliché horrors. But hey it might still be fun!

To be fair, they're only acting as publisher. They dont have their sticky mitts on the development.

For some reason, there is almost nothing that makes me cringe quite so much as the idea of a slice to the achilles tendon

Hopefully this is not the PS4 or Xbox One version, because it doesn't look so great.

Otherwise, I think the game looks interesting, might be a purchase for me.

I don't know.. While not the best graphics I have ever seen, the graphics looked good enough to tell it's story. What else do you need?
