I'm pretty interested in the new enemy placements.

Eh. I don't know if I have it in me to play through that game for a third fourth time. And with a new character, too. I'll probably be deep in BB by then, anyway.

I don't get it... what is new(except the obvious graphics)? Do I have to buy it again? I assume this is a free upgrade... I just paid for all 3 DLC... surely they are not telling me I have to buy a whole new package to get the graphics upgrade.

The latest patch should transfer all the updates on your PC game (save maybe graphical improvements). You get a new NPC who spouts nebulous lore bullshit. MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW:

I was considering buying this one, because I haven't played the original game, but this looks (graphically) really not that good...so, count me out! Maybe this makes me a graphics whore, but I think it is an important element of videogames, substance AND form!!

yet another reason I'm glad I don't buy most games at launch anymore really.

I feel like this will be the definitive version and will be getting this.

It's basically a GOTY edition with a little extra spice. Primarily aimed at people who haven't bought it yet. New enemy placement is a nice incentive for double triple dippers, but only at a low price.

Depending on the DX11 upgrades on PC and what kind of loyalty price they offer to the previous owners of the game+dlc, I may buy it. It has to be really cheap though.

I am the rare person who has beaten this game three times and still willing to purchase this. Bought the 360 version used for like 15 dollars, never purchased the DLC, and I now own a ps4. A glorified GOTY version to tinker with in the summer sounds cool.

Perhaps you've played it, maybe in a dream. A murky forgotten game. But one day, you will purchase this, without really knowing why…

Maybe I can, like, mod the DirectX 11 into the original game...

Bought DS2 on release but didn't finish it, and now I know I won't let myself finish the "inferior" version so I will have to buy the new one, which sucks.

If it is cheap enough for an already owner, game plus season pass, I might for a 2nd play-through.

No guys dont get this game doesn't everyone know its not as good as the original Dark Souls therefore you shouldn't play it *sarcasm*

As someone who loves the souls series and likes 2 better than 1 I seriously considering getting this. I'm just confused as to what I get in the patch for my original dark souls 2 game (for the PC) and what I'm getting from the scholar of the first sin.

As someone who has never played any Souls game I wish they would through in DS I on PS4, I don't even need updated graphics, just a way to play it on the hardware I own.

I'll probably triple dip once there's a good price for it. I'll be very busy playing Bloodborne anyway.

Eh. I'm pretty satisfied with the PC version I already have, I'll just buy the DLC for it.

I won't buy the game a 2nd time. Also, i preferred the more sparse enemy placement from DkS I.

Played through and finished the base game once on PC, and haven't bought the DLC yet, so I might pick this up. Kind of a shame that the new DX11 versions are incompatible with the previous edition, but I never got heavy into PvP or co-op, so a smaller user base isn't going to affect me that much.

It doesn't even look better at all. That's a bummer.

@kaos_cracker: Right there with ya man. No idea if the new npc and graphics will be enough for me to create anoooother alt. Unfortunately i'll prb end up with it on steam unless the patch gives me most of what i wanted.

I think this is coming out at a great time. While I'm sure I will still be deeply invested in Bloodborne, it will be nice to be able to go back and experience a better running Dark Souls 2.

Looking forward to grabbing this and playing it again. I only did one playthrough on PS3, and I held off on the DLC (glad I did). I still think this game was really great, and had its own interesting universe.

meh I just realized the torches amounted to nothing in dark souls II. Anyway I just need to finish the DLC packs and put this game to rest.

Gotta love that scene at 0:55 - 00:59 where there are magically no shadows on anything, moving or still. God, the lighting in some areas of Dark Souls 2 is the worst.
