Really? I kind of got the feeling that they were basically showing the first third of the game - i.e. the part that's actually mostly done at this point. Now I'm afraid to watch it again though.

Fantastic. They're recontextualizing the previous games as Lara Croft's lifelong quest for vengeance against tombs, and I am on board.

Not loving her voice actor. Other than that, game looks very cool.

This looks crazy. I guess it must be feedback from all those years of Lara being pretty much super human. It's cool because not only does the game finally make her realistically proportionate ( Underworld was pretty close ) but it make her way more human. I dunno I'm digging it. It's a struggle and it's cool to see it from a female perspective instead of a dude.

I'm also glad they have a lot more people on the island instead of it just being her escaping from the boogyman mostly when they first showed that off.

From being a person who hated the Tomb Raider games to enjoying them ( well mostly just Legends and Underworld, Anniversary was okay I guess) I'm pretty interested in this direction. That and the fact that Squarenix/Edios and CD are taking thier character out from the "invincible" status to being a more believable character is great on them.

So what is the over-under on a T-Rex showing up?

Haha. I was just trolling, but Uncharted actually reinvented the action-platformer genre forward. This just looks a lot like Uncharted with blood. It actually looks good, but I've yet to see something that makes it unique.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of this game. Looks like they're borrowing a few pages from Uncharted from the looks of this trailer.

Also they're not really making Lara more "realistic" in this game, they're just appealing to the latest women objectification trends. In the 90's it was big boobs, nowadays it's big butts. If there's anything I learned from this trailer it's that I'll be a happy camper looking at that posterior for 10 hours!

This doesn't seem like a Tomb Raider game, and theres no reason it has to be, they just want to use the name to help market the game.

I think it would be more interesting if it was a new IP and she was a new character for people to understand.

Fans are going to play this and just think "Where are the dinosaurs? What's the mysterious relic I'm after? When go I get to be a bad-ass and not limp around screaming for help like I don't know how to handle the situation?"

If it was a new IP people would accept it and enjoy it because it's a fresh story and character.
