November is going to be hella busy...Starting on the 15th that's going to be like 7 games I'm getting plus a PS4. I wish Soma was coming out this year as well.

Link to the Past was the last Zelda game I've played and this actually kind of looks interesting... Damn nostalgia.

What about Ocarina of Time? Or Link's Awakening? Or the CD-i games?

This game is looking pretty good. I wonder how much of a sequel it will really be to a link to the past?

this is a different Nintendo than I remember. Used to be they didn't like covering the same ground twice and wanted to create something totally new each time. Now they have an Ocarina of Time remake, Wind Waker remake, more "new" super Mario bros games than they should be allowed to make and now a direct sequel to a 1991 Zelda game. I'm not complaining (I love LTTP) but they need a stronger WiiU lineup if they are ever going to get that thing jump started.

Picked up a 3DS XL again just for this and Animal Crossing...looks awesome!

EDIT: Okay, why are they using Wind Waker voice? That doesn't match the character design at all. I hated that about the GBA release too. And where's his pink hair? THIS IS ALL WRONG eh it'll probably be great.

True, what I have seen so far seems kinda bland.

As bland as LTTP's art style. I actually like the 90's Link, I think it's a neat little nod to the past.

I tend to agree. I think it looks terrible (perhaps terrible is a bit strong) from an aesthetic standpoint. With that said, It looks pretty rad when Link merges with the environment.

So instead of Hyrule, it's Lorule? Seriously, Nintendo, get someone who can name things well.

Surprised that everyone's so up in arms about Lorule.

Sure does look ugly. It'll be fine for the kids, but anyone with memories of the SNES original would most likely vomit at this. They'd also be too old to have a 3DS.

Fuck yes. People say Nintendo is in trouble, but I feel like they are just focusing on their handheld Divison, and are fucking killing it. Seriously, callin it right now, the 3ds/2ds are gonna sell more than either one of the next gen consoles by a large margin.

I suppose Lorule is a less obvious pun to the Japanese audience, but it's still very silly.

Not that this game doesn't look good, but I don't know why the concept of a "sequel" to a 23-year-old game, which became the foundation for numerous great games in the same series, is so exciting

All it means is that they're targeting a more specific nostalgia nerve than usual.

Game looks great, but man, Lorule is just a bit too stupid of a name - and I'm not even against stupidity in Zelda, some of my favourite things in Zelda are stupid (example 1: Tingle).

The idea of allowing the player to tackle dungeons in the order they choose seems like a neat change, but locking it behind a rupee fee doesn't seem like the best way to go about it.

(Also, I'm a sucker for the typical Zelda progression of new dungeon = new item, though, so I'll probably miss that, but it's not a big deal)

When they first revealed the game I wasn't super into how it looked, but they released the 3D trailer on the e-shop and it looked fantastic in 3D.

Despise the look of this game. Should've been sprites. Looks ugly as is.
