i've been wanting to get the first game but have been hesitant (due to price) I'll feel about the same about this one, but this just might be an eventual buy. Eventually.

Wait, this isn't out in the states yet? It's been out for some time over here.

I think this game comes with the first one. I could be wrong but so says the wikipedia article.

Also, as was said, the first game was decent. Nothing more. In my opinion the saving grace of the original was that you could make your own character to journey along side the protagonist and pretty much ignore the story.

I have no idea why I liked the first game so much, but this is a must buy for me.

I had a lot of fun with this game's multiplayer and town building. I don't think a lot of people realized the main focus of the game is multiplayer-a quasi mmo type of game weirdly integrated into the single player. Fun if you have a friend or two to play it with.

I love anime robots. So much better than the regular GRIMDARK ugly clunky designs.

I liked the first WKC, and I'm all for more console RPGs. I love my PSP and DS, but I craved some good old console RPGs sometimes too, and there is something of a lack of those lately.

Brought this last week on the cheap. I've started from White Knight Chronicles original remastered version and its pretty impressive. It's not the best game out there but its interesting. I'm really liking the environments. Not the best game out, but definitely one to pick up when it goes down in price. Especially if you never played the original like me.

Just replayed the first one last week. Might try to get my New Game+ completed before this comes out.

Looks super boring. And this is coming from someone who's playing through, and loving, Xenoblade this very moment. So "go play Halo" doesn't work as a response. Just cus a genre is fledgling doesn't mean I have to pretend shit like this is any good.

First game was the first "jrpg" i actually enjoyed this generation, super pumped to play this one it looks amazing.

Haters can hate, doesn't bother me cause i will be too busy enjoying a game.

Dark Cloud and Rogue Galaxy really soured me on Level 5's RPGs. Those games are so poorly designed and frustrating to play, I couldn't bring myself to play White Knight Chronicles despite the neat setting and some other intriguing elements. Those steamships look sick, as are the magical robot armors, but I'll simply assume that the plot is paper thin, the characters grating, and the gameplay bogged down by a thousand pointless/infuriating game mechanics.

@Catolf: If I recall, the first game is actually included with this one, since they announced a completed save would be required before you could even start the sequel. Don't know if they went back on that though, I haven't been keeping up. Maybe it's more value as a 2 for 1?    It's exactly what it looks like though, fun enough game if you can get into that sort of thing.

I'm actually exited for this game. I liked the first one. The first WKC was essentially 2 games in one (because of it's online mode). Only problem was that no one spoke of the stellar online mode and just gave the game a pass. It's really worth it. Story may be 'meh' but the combat, however clunky it was, is fun in my opinion.

Aw, I read that as you can't have a JRPG without dramatic posses. Although I guess you can't have a JRPG without one of those too.

There have been several. If you didn't play them, like them, or hate the genre as a whole that's not those games' faults, it's your proper decision to have a different preference. Insulting an entire genre and another person because you don't like the thing they like is childish.

If that was a anime i would defienetly watch it, but seeing as it is no and i did not really enjoy the first one i probably wont be buying it.

Also the original White Knight Chronicles has been sitting in its cozy gamefly package for about 5 months.

So stupid-sounding fake names, J-pop, and fantasy mechs? I WONDER WHAT SORT OF GAME THIS IS.

I miss level 5's older stuff, the art style was usually something different and usually fun to play, not saying this isn't fun to play, I just really liked the art style in the Dark Clouds and Rouge Galaxy.  This on the other hand doesn't interest me at all, nor did the first White Knight though.

I just want a Quick Look because that Quick Look for the first game was real good.

One of the Characters sounds like Freeza.
