The game shown in the video doesn't strike me as an RPG at all. Which makes this kinda intriguing. Gonna follow this I think.

Well it is an RPG if you look up some descriptions and older trailers. There is a character progression system with skills and stats, lots of different gear and weapons and most importantly dialogue choices, actions and consequences. It is in fact very similar to something like Mass Effect.
This game just had the misfortune of being constantly delayed, as it was supposed to come out even before ME2.

The more videos of this game come out, the more I kinda-sorta regret my Steam prepurchase.

Well, apparently you can play however you want and all that jazz, so maybe his weird blandness is representative of how any personality can be imprinted on to him, with equal success? I agree, though, he does look more like an Barbie/ action figure than anything else.
