Didn't Shift 2 just release yesterday?  Two NFS games in one year?  The franchise has turned into the CoD of racing games.

YES. NFS needs to have to sides to it, Hot Pursuit and whatever ridiculous story game they have. None of the pseudo-simulation style racing that Shift brought to it.

Do executives have no long term memory?  Do they not recall how they basically drove Need For Speed into the ground with shitty also-rans like "Pro Street", before Criterion bailed their asses out with Hot Pursuit?

These NFS story driven games have really bored me the past few years. But this looks pretty cool. 

I hope this has excellent online like Hot Pursuit. 

Let's hope it's as dumb goofy and fun as Fast Five was.

im down for a cannon ball run racing game, seems like it will be awesome with the frostbite engine, hot pursuit was bad ass, shift 2 was alright so every other one seems to work

I don't think the whole Cannonball Run connection is accurate.  It looks more like they are on "the run" as in running from someone, trying to get across country for a more important reason than Burt Reynolds ever had.

So maybe it's that Chill Factor movie we've always been promised.
