Whadya think the odds are of 999 coming to Vita eventually? Less than 0%? Then it's either get a DS or just watch this anyway.

This talk kinda reminds me of Ghost Trick's ending.

Everyone has a reason to have info dumps about weird science, even Lotus (being the mother of two girls that played the Nonary Game).

Also, Is perfectly possible to get the True Ending without a walktrough, just follow a narrative logic ( console Clover ... ) or use the clues that the previews give you (like the doors you need to got through to get the necessary endings)

I tried to play 999 a couple times but my DS playing is what I do before bed and the amount of reading in it would put me to sleep.

Actually, the game hints at how to get the true ending.

Patrick, Sudoku is really easy. Each row, column, and 3x3 box has to contain the number 1 through 9 with no repeats. There. Explained in one sentence. It's actually a really fun type of puzzle.

Also Ever17, which is part of that series someone mentioned, has a similar style of ending (this is only part of the infinity loop go get more you fucker or something). never completed it, though

Also Analogue is way way way shorter than 999, It took me like, less than 8 hours to finish that game (got all 5 endings, though you will appreciate that 5th ending for someone who likes the ending of 999)

I hope that when you finish VLR, you can also do a spoilercast for that too. I'm frantically trying to finish the game before the end of the year so I can put it somewhere near the top of my GOTY list.

Awesome, I'm about halfway through VLR and really loving it.

My experiences with the two games have pretty much changed my opinion of visual novels.

Hah, just finished up the true ending earlier today. Good timing.

Best part of the game is dramatic upside down Sudoku. I knew my obsessive Sudoku playing would pay off one day.

Do Patrick's parent's know he's using the internet? Isn't he a little young.

Maybe it's because it's been a while since I've played 999, but I didn't feel like the puzzles in VLR were all that much better than the 999 puzzles. I might feel differently if I went back and played it, though, haha.

EDIT: I did appreciate the ability to skip around in VLR, though I think it takes some of the tension away. I will say, though, that I wasted at least one playthrough (that I remember) gunning for a different ending and ended up getting one I'd unlocked before. :(

No interest in this one, but I hope a video of this style gets to become a main stay video feature on the site. It could be really neat to see them do it for a game that I care about. I get that because the guys are busy they can't all play the same game, but even if one or two of them feel really strongly about it they could do something like this.
