Ninjas Abound in Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations

I approve of ninjas... not these ones mind.

I tried to get into Naruto but man the characters and story are soooooo dumb. I thought that Ubisoft game one year looked interesting though.

I'm looking forward to this. It sounds like they're making some important changes to how you play to balance out the multiplayer so it's not just a substitution fest.

Seems like something Naruto fans will enjoy.

I still don't understand why they insist on constantly making Naruto into sub-par fighting games instead of something more interesting like an open world sand box game with Ninja Gaiden-like combat.

remember kids, Naruto is just Dragonball Z with ninjas. For me that is just fine.

They need a proper One Piece game, since that's the only good show out of the big 3.

Actually that scene is aping the famous (in Japan) cross counter from "Tomorrow's Joe". Pretty sure that manga's even older than Stallone's Rocky and that particular punch has been referrenced dozens of times, for example as the final hit against the last boss in Yakuza 2.

So yeah, will this have a story mode or what?

Well character wise, Im happy theres more. NUNS2 was such a let down. Oh, and please have a way to cancel Specials and Ultimates. Thx

This looks so great! After playing the previous two ultimate ninja storms it's really hard to go back to any other anime based fighting game including the DBZ games (budokai excluded). They've pretty much nailed this system both mechanically and visually and I hope they continue to balance out the online, because this is probably the most fun I've had with a fighter that wasn't something as technically demanding as Street Fighter 4. The story battles and cut scenes definitely put the anime to shame.

Naruto is a great series (except for the fillers), but I haven't played any of the games... maybe it's time to give this one a try hmm.

I'm not ashamed to say I'll be buying this at some point. The last game in the series was awesome, I was so surprised by how well they pulled it off. The DBZ franchise should take notice and try to emulate the feel of this game.

The Ultimate Ninja Storm games are so fucking fun. Definitely picking this up.

They've made enough of these games to justify calling this one "Generations?" Or are there just enough different characters and plot lines at this point? Either way, I remember this show just getting popular when I was in college, which makes me feel old.

To the game's credit, those are some beautiful animations. They look much better than the Dragonball Z fighting games. I can't imagine all those flashy moves control especially well, but what do I know.

Zabuza sword can not be beat.

They had me ad 70 playable characters. Only reason I kept DBZ:BT2 was the amount of playable characters. I love unlocking chars every time wondering who might be the next one. Hate that most fighting games go the arcade route now adays of just giving you all of them straight up (.. and then adding more that could have allready been there trough DL-Fucking-Cs)

If nothing else, the graphical style is a joy.

Such a niche fanbase over an idiot ninja in bright orange outfit. Still surprised that enough people buy this to convince people to make more of them as I seriously doubt it's a substantial amount to keep churning these Naruto games out.

Ninja Storm 2 was one of the prettiest, most well animated game I've played this generation.

I still can't stand how amazing this fight is. And I don't even like Naruto.

I really enjoyed the first Storm game, it was flashy as hell and even a little fun against friends. I didn't get the second game because I had stopped watching the anime (couldn't put up with the fillers and the snail pace whenever they actually got back to the main story) and haven't caught up on the manga either.

The pace that they've been putting out the volumes here makes me want to import the English versions, but I haven't bothered yet, which means I'll probably skip this game too.

Wow. I can't speak for Naruto or the actual quality of the game, but those graphics are very close to the show. That's quite impressive, actually.

Because all the interesting combat in the series happens in 1 on 1 fights, the scenes where they take on dozens of ninjas is mostly for show. That being said, there were a few 360 ones that did that. They weren't very good.

I am happy that you think that because you dont enjoy a certain franchise that it shouldn't be made.

Setting aside the onesided minds of the few people who replied to this video, the game looks like fun.

The last game was great even though there were balancing issues when playing online. Looking forward to this one(provided they continue to give you the option to switch to japanese voices).

Bought the last two day one, this will be the same.

People should really give it chance before knocking it down.

@Knave: One Piece for the Wii was pretty fantastic, it just got too grindy for me near the end.
