24:20 love that part!!!
Ryan: Your not a kick-boxer fan are you, is that what this is now?
Q Guy: Now I am.
Ryan: Shit, uh-oh.
Q Guy: Have you guys noticed that spider, that was up there?
Vinny: I only watched it crawl into Ryan's ear, then I lost track of it so...
Ryan: You know what, now I do wanna fight you! Ya, ya, this is gonna work out. I'm pretty happy about this now. (LOLOLOLOLOL)

I would totally watch a weekly (or even monthly) podcast with Jeff Green, Michael Pachter, and Gary Whitta.  Those three were great together.

The fact that Pachter suggested the empowerment/idolization of the Developer, makes him worth more than two shits.

Great show. Michael was going all out. He was kind of being a dick to Ryan. Nice change since Ryan is usually the one being the dick. Terrible questions from the audience though.

Great video, but Jeff and Ryan: State of Emergency? Really?  That game was freaking terrible.

I dunno, maybe my expectations were too high cause it was the next thing Rockstar did after GTA3, but I had no fun with it.

Pax Panel Michael Pachter and Bonus Round Machael Pachter is like two whole different persons, I couldn't even tell it was him even when they said his name. Awesome segment, i love the grumpy old men and man this panel/live bombcast was really badass.

and yes audience questions are weird but I guess it's part of what a panel is :D

You guys looked pretty nervous at first but it was super smooth.

Only thing is next year maybe pre-screen some of those audience questions. They're always pretty bad at these things.

I liked the look jeff gave vinny when he referenced wikipedia instead of giant bomb... lol

Giant Bomb upstaged themselves by bringing on Pachter, Green and Whitta.  Those guys stole the show.

This show was awesome! GB Crew really outdid themselves this time. Also about the "Grumpy Old Man" section, they should make this a thing.

PG&W were enjoyable, and definitely had some great insights. "Upstaged" might be a little strong. The GB guys presented a thoroughly enjoyable panel, and I wish I could have been there.

Granted, it's always fun to hear from the dev/business friends of Giant Bomb. There were some thoughtful points thrown out there, and the back and forth was engaging. (Also, I'm totally stoked about these murmurings of an inside look at the dev process of Kasavin and co.)

On the whole, I think there's a good balance here. I come here because I'm excited about games and want to hear about them from people I trust. As everyone mentioned, the institutional barriers to full developer access do seem reasonably strong for reviewers (PR being what it is). If you are looking for more along those lines, there are a few non-review outlets like Gamasutra that are trying to cover that whole "art and business of making games."

As to the questions about the whole Duke Nukem story, a lot of that was tied down due to the legal stuff between Take Two and 3D Realms. Some of that story is starting to get told, however. Definitely looking forward to seeing more of it come out.

Why's it got to be competitive? I'd say they just complemented each other. Chose some good people to make a great show.

Congratulations! This kind of thing is only made possible by how small-scale they've kept the whole operation despite the incredible amount of content they produce. The drink koozies I had my mom make weren't exactly the most impressive thing in the world, but I love that Giant Bomb has created a strong enough community that people try to go out of their way to make an impact somehow.

"My heart belongs to Giant Bomb." =P

*edit. Shit, I'm tired, I didn't realize you're Adam fuckin' Boyes! Of course they know your name. My statement above applies more to the people they mentioned meeting up with at GameWorks. =P

You guys shouldn't have answered the Endurance Run question.
Just silently gotten up from your tables, walked off the stage and jumped that guy.
It'd be the perfect ending to the show.

I'm always interested in Pachter's insight into video game economics and his analysis but man, don't give that man anything to drink. He's embarrassing himself on stage. 'I got a Wii HD right here'? Jesus.

You have two ex video game journalist juggernauts on stage and Pachter's all you're hearing.

" While I think Jeff handled the K&L2 question professionally, I'm kinda surprised it was asked at all.  I mean in the whole time they've talked about that game, leading up to its release and after, I've never once gotten the impression that Jeff held anything against the developers. Also, he's been pretty up front about how he legally can't talk about a lot of stuff, and I don't think he even really likes to dwell on that stuff (that may be my speculation). "
This is why it's so tiring to see people trying to create drama and get some sort of   "fuck yeah, rebel!" response out of Jeff  when IO most likely had nothing to do with it, which Jeff recognizes. I'm so happy that Jeff , and Ryan, gave the response they did... now stop bringing it up and enjoy Giant Bomb for what it is.

Bombcasts are so good on camera. Oh, and I've said it once and I'll say it again (and again, and again, and again...) that those guys are fucking awesome! I do love them so. :D

Also, I am positive those side shots of them in a line will be put to great use on the staff edit thread! :D (or i hope they are :])

(btw, best fucking the thumbnail of Jeff looking at the camera and them looking away! love it!)
