Perhaps Unsurprisingly, Catwoman Is In Injustice: Gods Among Us

Catwoman has always been a terrible character.

Really digging their character design! Nice to see she's discovered the use of that zipper that's usually chilling around her midriff!

Between Harley Quinn and Catwoman, the Batman games of late have taken a really weird, fetishistic turn.

I am all for it.

Hawkeman will be in the game... Just kidding.

Catwoman's fighting style reminds me of Mileena.

Considering the way every single female character looked in Mortal Kombat 9 I'm surprised Catwoman's outfit isn't unzipped like in Arkham City. Good on Netherrealm.

I want a fighting game with just Batman characters.

Putting that Freddy Krueger tech to use.

So far thats 4 Batman characters. I wasn't particularly interested in this game but now I dunno, even less so than before. (Since I wouldn't be surprised if the Joker made it in)

Still, I understand the choices so far. I know it isn't good for sales, but I usually like to see more obscure guys and brand variety in crossovers. It gives me a chance know more about the history of the company or franchise involved in the crossover, and more often than not makes me want to check those obscure guys out.

The only time I've ever liked Catwoman is Anne Hathaway's portrayal, though I've never seen her in anything else that didn't have her making annoying cat jokes. Hathaway was also there less to have sex with Batman and more there to move the movie along.

Looks like Injustice is part of the annoying cat jokes Catwoman canon, though, so I'll continue not to like her. Her moveset looks fine, though.

Better character design than Arkham City's Catwoman.

Maybe it's just the stench of MK vs. DC but this game isn't looking so good to me.

The whip acting as her tail is a nice, albeit impractical, touch.

In general, I don't like Catwoman as a character at all, so the best part for me was when she got kneed in the chin by Batman.

The idea of catwoman knocking people across a city block and punching them up into the air does not fit my perception of the character.

I really like the way they did her leaping animation looks so freaking fluid and cool.

Spot on, as in it looked perfect. Not just because it was accurate to the comics. It was a good blend of sexy and utilitarian.

And personally the Audrey Hepburn-esque rendition of catwoman is my favourite.

You were expecting her to just slap people? It's a fighting game, things happen that don't make sense. Batman couldn't take down Grundy on his own, takes a team to beat him in the comics, yet it happens here (and happened in AC).

I was hoping for Catman instead of Catwoman.

Looks nice. I do agree that I hope they finish up on the Batman characters soon, There's a lot more I'd love to see like some GLs, maybe even something crazy like Larfleeze.

@LarryDavis: Her "plot" was, but her plot also barely existed and didn't go anywhere, so she really just moved Batman from place to place, made snide comments, and occasionally served as a caped crusader for him.

I guess I'm a Bad Purr-Ahem, a Bad Person. I always thought Catwoman was a character who is fundamentally terrible, and I never understood her appeal. Maybe I should ask people over on Comicvine, but I'm not really sure how to phrase it without sounding like a troll or a jerk or something.

I'll reluctantly buy Batman beating up Superman, as that's been an established thing since Dark Knight Returns, but Superman would mess up Catwoman in a heartbeat.

Why didn't they take the character model and voice actor from Arkham City? Whoever the voice actor was she was amazing.

This game is already at 4 Batman characters (I don't count Grundy) and while they would all be great choices for a Batman fighting game I really hope they cut it off here. That being said it would look kinda weird to have Harley without the Joker.

So far, over half of the announced roster for this game has appeared in Arkham City. Is WB just rolling with whatever licenses they already had?

Also, Michelle Pfeiffer is the Catwoman as far as I'm concerned:P

It's the best rendition of the character I've ever seen-- very noir and dark and not stupidly pandering to 13 year-old boys with OMG CARTOON BOOBS.

It's a great interpretation of the character.

@RockyRaccoon37: Well I do like Darwyn Cooke, but it's not so much that I think a good story can't be told about her, it's that there are some fundamental problems I have with her as a character and her existing in the batman universe. The sexuality doesn't even put me off so much, just the absurdity of a cat themed burglar. I know I know, comic books, but still, I feel like Year One goes to great lengths to justify the donning of the cowl, and that the villains get a free pass for being psychopaths, but catwoman just feels like a relic of a sillier time. I'll put it on my list and see if it changes my mind anyways.
