It was part of the first Humble Indie Bundle. If you have the email they sent you there should be a link in it, and later on they sent everyone a code to activate them all in Steam.

This game is old... but beautiful! Especially the music. Some of the tracks are even on my MP3 player.

I played this game a couple of years ago and really loved it. The m

wakey wakey!

I couldn't really get into this game. It's relaxing but I just found myself becoming really bored.

I actually own this game, and it's been collecting dust in my harddrive somewhere. Never did get to finish it after spending about a dozen hours or so.

Yes, the game could use a cooking mini-game like Cooking Mama, featuring Nanako. Everything could use more of Nanako's approval.

I got this game a while ago from one of the Humble Indie Bundles  (Charity, yay!)
I really didn't like it.

Vinny quick looks are always great!

It looks interesting...

This reminds me of Bastion, just underwater.

Bought this game way back during the distribution-problems described on the game's wiki-page. Liked the game, regret buying it before it came out on Steam.

Man this looks really cool but 20€ feels kinda steep for a 4 year old singleplayer indie game :/

you guys are crazy

Me too. Quite a shame. I really enjoyed my time with it.

I remember playing this game like a year ago and thinking, "This would make a good quick look. Of course, that'll never happen since it came out in 2007." The prophecy has come true!

Posted by RichieJohn

wanted this game for ages. I downloaded a torrent of it or tried a demo and I couldn't get it to run on my netbook. Seems like it should've worked.
I know I'll be buying it as soon as I get a more betterer computer.

Endurance run!

Nice! This game deserves a little more exposure!

i think im in after this quick look

Posted by TwoLines

It's always pretty mellow, except for the last part of the game, which is freaking intense!
There's a lot to do, collect and explore. And Brad was right, you can transform to more than that fire lady.

Also, it was about... 3 euro during steam sale? And I got it in a indie bundle way back.
So, yeah, get this game when it's on a sale, 20 euro might be too pricey for a 4 year old indie game.
I enjoyed it very much though.

Am I imagining that they looked at this game or something very similar to it a long time ago?

Posted by RoadCrewWorkerer

This is a long, but very slowly paced game - 25 hours sounds about right. Fighting is mostly deceptively easy, except for the bossfights will kick you in the balls.

And i really wouldn't say its about the story (although there is a little), more about the exploration and unlocking new stuff at a very leisurely pace.

I would hit that orb right next to the current you came out of near the beginning of the temple. I don't think you had the shooty power when you were first there.

Been a long time since I've seen such a well thought out quick look.
Thank you Vinny, for playing the game in advance and even planning ahead for the QL, making multiple saves just to show off the mechanics etc.

I've had this game for ages but have never gotten around to playing it.

Posted by fox01313

Seems interesting but without the use of any kind of mission direction it appears that if you miss going one direction you could just be wandering aimlessly for quite some time. Might pick it up the next time it pops up on sale.

One thing I love about Quick Looks is getting me interested in playing a game again that I already have.  I played a few hours of Aquaria but haven't gone back.  I think I did that temple, though...

Posted by Death_Unicorn

I could sit here and watch you guys finish game all day. ALAS, IT SHALL NOT HAPPEN...

Posted by Gelatinousgelboy

Huh, I had forgot how good Vinny is at hosting QLs. A really nice look at this game ^____^

@golguin: You're imagining things. However, you might be thinking of The UnderGarden. At least that's the first thing that popped into my head aesthetic-wise.

The Legend of Zora: Aquaria of Time

Posted by Video_Game_King

Actually, this game not only has WASD controls, but hot keys for each song. Why bother humming out the Song of Storms (again, irony ensues) when you can just hit 5? Still, awesome game, and one I should get around to reviewing.

Posted by Vortextk

It's a lot of fun and more touching than I would have ever thought. I actually just beat this last month. A lot of great things going on in this game.

Posted by S0ndor

Got this for 5 euros during the Steam sale. I'm looking forward to diving into it.

No, it was definitely an underwater game that had similar visuals. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Great Quick Look. Really wish most were this well thought out and not just tutorial/first time playing videos.

Apropos Shadow Complex, this game is older than Shadow Complex, it came out in 2007.

Oh and just to..put it out there. If you play this game, and you don't get all of her lost memories for the longest ending...I wouldn't bother. It's just a setup for another game, which isn't coming at this point, and a lot of cliffhanger crap that isn't needed. That's my feeling on it.

Edited by hazzard4123

I got this game for free at Christmas time. It was in some Humble Indie bundle on a website. It had Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru HD (which is hilarious), Penumbra: Overture and World of Goo. I played it and never really got into it.

Posted by Fear_the_Booboo

I have this game.

For some reason, at some point, the map got all crazy with parts overlapping on each other and then I got always lost. Maybe it's me, but I can't play a Metroid-like game without a good map.

Too bad because I was enjoying the game.

Vinny has had a consistently cheesy week when it comes to jokes. "Sea Loaf Green". I love Vinny.

Brad + Vinny or Ryan + Vinny = The best quick looks.
