You can't see me, because I'm hidden...

...In PLAIN SIGHT! :O

Didn't Danny play this game during the 24 hour Supply Drop Stream?

So it's the multiplayer from Assassin's Creed.

For the thief game I believe the coins only disappear if the snipers shine their spotlight over the coin and it has been picked up by a thief. So it's possible to catch the thief in the act.

Edit: Same for the assassin game - bodies only appear if the snipers shine their spotlight on murdered victims.

Even with two thieves you could mark innocents if you see them passing through the coins and don't you hear any beep sound.

+1 and -1 at the same time my friend lol.

Dan got the logic in reverse, when someone walks through a coin and no ding sounds they are definitely not a thief.

Man, I hope this comes to other platforms someday.

Great QL, and I have to say, this game looks like a ton of fun with friends.

Ah ok, I was horribly confused when I thought they all forgot how to play this game they already played not that long ago... I was almost thinking they pretended not to know to make Dan feel smart :)

This has a bit of the Assassin's Creed multiplayer and a bit of Spy Party. Also, Brad makes an excellent NPC.

Yep. The snipers can only really see things near their crosshair.

Time to Brad at the end = ∞

I am glad Brad won, I can't stand his whinging when he loses.

Well, this on unprofessional Fridays would be pretty okay.

I played this with a friend a bunch.

In catch a thief the coins only disappear after a sniper hovers over them. So you can see a path that way. Same thing for assassin, you only see who died when you hover over.

Oh, and in Death Race NPC's don't run.

Dan is really bad at imitating the NPC movements. They don't turn and move serpentine like he does. He's the only one I could actually pick out of the crowd every time.

I really need to get around to setting up my system so I can play these awesome 4-player games with my friends.

Posted by Junpei

@fishbacon: Exactly. When he brought up his initial plan I realized that doesn't work with two thieves. It's completely doable, they just weren't looking at it the right way.

This game really needs better instructions. The brief help text is missing a lot of vital information about how the mechanics work and should be used. The duders wasted a lot of time just figuring things out and playing it all wrong.

"UN-FUCKING-DEFEATED" - Brad.

Brad's a trip. He saw the flaw with the two on two sniper, yet looses focus towards the end.

Classic! Need another Breaking Brad.....

This game was on Ouya and I was always so frustrated when people said Towerfall was the only game with playing on Ouya. Hidden in Plain Sight is amazing fun. (No, I don't own an Ouya. A friend does.)

This game was my favorite Xbox live indie game. So glad its finally out on Steam where it belongs. Pity that it has been buried in the "New Releases". This is one of the best party games ever.

I would be terrible at this game.

Dan pointing out the other players was a pretty shitty move.

Oh, They were playing this on PC? I totally missed that, thought they were playing it on the 360 since they were talking about the controllers.

This title has officially been added to my list of party games I will be playing on my birthday. Thanks, guys!

On the other hand, I like it when games just throw you into it for you to figure out the strategy yourself. It may not work for a Quick Look, but all it really takes is one or two times playing a game to figure out how it works through some trial and error.

Anyway, I think I know the real trick to that thief game: tag the characters you see walking over a coin without making the collection sound. The only caveat is that you need to be sure the coin is still there. It looks like the coin status gets "refreshed" when the scope moves over them?

They've played this before right? Like on UPF or something. I'm not going crazy am I?

Danny O'Dwyer and crew played this on the Supply Drop Marathon stream.

Posted by SilentPredator

Yeah, there's a definite Fog of War effect going on with the coins and bodies. Nice to see Brad take that W. Wouldn't mind seeing this game on UPF as it seems like a lot of fun.

Videogame heel turn

Posted by MikeLemmer

@readymix: I think Danny and co. played it during his charity stream a few months ago.

Posted by ITSSEXYTIME

I think the winning strategy for the sniper mode is just to tag people as "innocent" who are near coins when the sound is played, to keep track of potential thieves. You'll also trick the thieves into thinking they are "safe", making them easier to pick out.

Posted by eccentrix

Stop ghosting, Dan, Jesus!

Posted by SJQPersonal

@onkel: Whatever. Friends do this to each other growing up all the time.

Posted by babunar

The strategy with multiple thieves is to mark as innocent anyone who passes over a coin without causing a pling - of course if the coin was taken previously but not made to disappear by the sniper then you might mark a thief...

Thanks Jason!

Neat game. I could stand to see the crew play more of it.

I haven't posted in years.

First off, god bless Dan Ryckert. Because of you, sir, this site has been fun again.

All through this Quick Look, I was thinking, what would Ryan Davis have thought of this game. I imagined his throaty, "God Dammit!" as he would have been ruthlessly murdered.

This Quick Look was great. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. Thank you.

TEAM BRAD.

Posted by Oswell_Endswell

Lots of giggling while watching this Quick Look.

Thanks guys!
