Vinnie in post apocalyptic Sweden <3

Posted by SteamPunkJin

It's a pretty great game so far but lacks some much needed variety.

There are 4 Classes with 2 variants each (Human and Mutant) each with 2 unique powers.

The big hook seems to be altering the properties of the Abilities, but it really boils down to adding more Damage or a Healing effect to them. I'm hoping future patches will see some elemental inserts or something along those lines to spice it up.

No complaining about Patrick yet? Am I not on giant bomb anymore?

Its cause the awsomeness of Vinny counteracts Patrick

Edited by simkas

@TricksterLoki: Previous Vintrick QL comments was 90% complaining about Patrick.

Been curious about this game

Well let me get this ball rolling then! Has Patrick repeated anything Vinny has said in an overly complex manner yet? Haven't watched the video yet but I wanted to start prep-hatin'

Huh... alrighty then, don't have an answer for ya then.

Glad to see the guys covering this, game deserves attention. Just wish Fatshark could have got the co-op in there for launch.

Posted by theimmortalbum

Heard some good things about this... glad they did a QL, might get me to buy it!

Vinny: "Without just sitting here talking about the game..."

Ha! Ha! Little wink and a nod to Patrick there.

Posted by Syndrom

i checked the steam page, and the system requirements seem really high.

Thank you so much for doing this QL!

I've been undecided on Krater for a while.

Post-apocalyptic humour is my favourite kind of humour!

Sweden would be colder than my usual post apocalypse place. Don't know if I want to barely survive there.. Maybe hawaii. Save this for later.

edit-I liked this.......

Man, the Swedes have it figured out. They're making that mix of Swedish and nonsense a thing after Magicka hit it big...

Finally a game with real music

This game look fantastic, holy shit!

A portion of ex-grindividus are workin on an awesome dungeon crawler. I want to buy this now. Good thing i held out on d3. I just hear a lot of complaints from friends who are getting somewhat frustrated with the game and the issues that constantly arise. Its kinda weird that after grin closed that a few years later theyd end up making a game like this. Im pretty excited i hope the game does end up getting very big eventually.

Picked up the game but yet to have the time to play it. It's very cool seeing changes I helped influenced through the testing.

And yeah, once you get to the tougher places selecting them individually becomes important. You need to keep your tank away from the others, hold aggro, dps the same targets, stun any mobs that go for your healer all while keeping everyone healed.

This looks awesome. Bought!

"Hallå eller"!

picking this up on payday

I'm also getting a starcraft/warhammer dow feel to it

I played this a whole lot this weekend and I kind of have to agree with, Vinnie. I don't think I'm playing it right. Sometimes the battles feels too fast for controlling three dudes. Could maybe be fixed with better AI from the party. Died a few times just by some minor misclick.

but I has promise

The old Fallouts had random encounters too. Anyway, I'm sold.

Yep. Also, Baldur's Gate, when your party went to sleep ...

Talk more about movies!

"This game isn't quite finished."

And they're fucking charging for it? No thanks.

I'll do some Patrick complaining. Why the fuck does he keep referencing games that are nothing like this game. JRPG?!

This game is like BALDUR'S GATE! FUCKING BALDUR'S GATE! How can you miss this....

Diablo, Borderlands and JRPGs.... christ...

Posted by Beld

That first dungeon Vinny went into was a different layout then when I did it, so there's some random generation going on there.

Posted by TheJohn

Yeah, I'm just gonna buy this and go kill me some brölebjörnar

Posted by Aishan

The random encounters on the world map are probably influenced by the original Fallout games more than anything else.

Posted by DexterKid

Don't assume your opinions are fact, Klepek. Diablo's story does matter to some people.

Edited by buckybit

@Wandrecanada: I was trying to be more subtle about it, then you, haha ;)

... also ... 12'55'' = DayZ related Steam Notification (lower right screen) - btw, why is there no DayZ wiki entry by now? It's a game (just like Counterstrike became one), isn't it?

"There's random encounters on an overworld? What game are we playing?!"

These guys sound like they've never played a video game in their life.

I paid $13 for Minecraft when it was way earlier in development than this. Hell, I'm in for half a dozen Kickstarters that aren't even in alpha yet. This kind of thing is awesome IMO, you get to shape a game's development to some extent by playing it and offering input. The Fat Shark guys are heavily into the Steam forum for Krater, they are constantly responding to posts there.

Looks awesome, love the music, visuals and writing in the game. I think I will check it out.

Posted by Sylinder

HAHAHA, There`s an NPC named DR ALBAN! (25:00) For those that don`t know just search youtube for the guy, old-school scandinavian dance star from the 90`s

Posted by blackbird415

@gladspooky: you could have said the same thing about team fortress 2 when it came out, yet tons of people enjoyed it anyway

Posted by oldjack327

This looks cool, like two of my favorite games of all time, Fallout 1 and Arcanum... but with collectable party members.

Posted by MythDarK

Fallout Tactics mixed up with Diablo. This is great. =D

How neither brought up fallout (the good ones by black isle, not the mediocre brown shooters by bethesda and obsidian) when talking about a post-apocalyptic rpg with an overworld map with random encounters is staggering to me.

I can understand Tricky not having played them, was he even born when they came out? But Vinny should've corrected that shit. JRPGs....Gross.
