Not sure what to think of this game, looks well made and all but for some reason I have absolutely no interest.

Edit: Now I've watched the quicklook I'm a lot more intrested. Will probably be a rent though.

Somehow I just had no fun with the demo. Skipping it till the price drops.

I have no reason to post on this video.

Gameplay in the demo was a lot of fun, but I have concerns about its viability over the course of a full game. Hopefully they managed to avoid too much repetition.

@nientkewitz: I somewhat agree. Without being a huge 40k fan, not sure there is that much reason to spend the full amount.

This will be a fun rent.

I wouldn't mind for Relic to revisit the HOMEWORLD UNIVERSE and make a 3rd game? ... or maybe something c o m p l e t e l y different? They are stuck with Warhammer Universe? Nothing bad per se, but they need to get a break, before ending in the Tony Hawks or Madden cycle of Ork hell?

[update] - have to eat my own words. After having seen this QL and playing the demo myself, this i s something completely different to some degree for Relic. It's Warhammer, but the gameplay is rather a Hack&Slash FPS mix. Bravo :)

It should have been "Space Marines" with full co-op support with different combat roles and team coordination. Next time. :)

I first read that as "and make a 3rd person game"...the horror!

Psst, guys, they're all called greenskins.

I love the Bolter sounds, they were pretty weak even in DoW2.

I got this game for $30 on PC. Really fun so far. It's well paced so it never drags on. The chapters are short but there are 17 of them. The jet packs are insanely fun. Just wrecking hell from above. I find it more fun than Gears 2.

This QL was really funny. Good work guys.

Yay! I'm a giant 40k fan (Have 2 shelves full of books, boxes full of miniatures) and can't wait to pick this up.

Posted by ninjastarz808

i liked the first Dawn of War game, although I probably would like this game too.

Ah, been waiting for some Ryan and Vinny Quick Lookin'...

Liked the demo a lot, but got a bunch of other games to handle at the moment, so this'll have to wait for later. But definetly going to buy it at some point!

I want to get this game but it seems it gets too repetitive too fast!

Space Britons are awesome.

Posted by Dimorgh

Yeah this game was entertaining for 20 minutes.. but OMG it gets repetitive with its limited gameplay.

Yes, let's go!

Would be great if they came back to homeworld. But at the same time HW 2 wasn't that great. Sad to say Cataclysm was the best in the series and that wasn't relic :(

Is space whale in this games?

Posted by Wes899

It's called "rockcrete" btw :D

Posted by DjCmeP

The game doesn't seem bad but it looks pretty boring.

I fucking love vinny quicklooks! Also, Ryan does a pretty good space British.

SPACE MARINES?

Spice Marines!

Posted by sirdesmond

This game will make for an awesome $20 or $30 purchase eventually, but for now, I'll pass.

Posted by Jeffk38uk

Totally would choose to be Space British than just British.

My thoughts exactly. I was pretty blown away by the intensity of the gameplay at the end of the shooting segment & the tactics you needed to use to survive, it was a lot of fun. Then the jetpack section was awesome in a different way - from feeling really powerful rather than almost getting overwhelmed. But, yeah, I can't see my enjoyment lasting for an entire game especially as nothing else about the game really grabbed me.

As someone with no history with the 40k universe...this looks awesome. Dumb fun never goes out of style.

Edited by Lazyaza

Played through it today, campaign was way shorter than expected (bout 6-7 hours) yet was quite freaking sweet, especially when you get the jet pack. Mp is fun but eh matchmaking kinda broken.  Damn awesome game if your a Warhammer nut.  Can't wait for co-op in October.

Positive, enthusiastic Vinny; even better.

I'M COMIN FOR YOU! YOU GUY AT THE END!!

So, Space Marines are basically Viltrumites, no? [From Kirkman's Invincible, go read it now]

Also, apparently Green Skins cannot use pronouns. Get those Space Marines. Here come Space Marines. I'm being devoured by Space Marines.

Posted by S0ndor

The new sound effects for the weapons are great.

Posted by NTM

I don't know why, but diving back into the ultimate bad-ass character seems appealing right now.

This game looks completely banal. Not good, not bad, but completely forgettable. The only reason Vinny and Ryan enjoyed playing this game is because they are stressed out in preparing for the 8 hour long show on Friday and playing a simplistic game like space marines was an outlet for temporary stress relief for them. Any other week and they would have trashed this game in the quick look.

And what a stupid name for a game. Space marines.

SPESS MAWEENZ!

SPACE MARINES

I could watch Ryan and Vinny play this game pretty much forever.

Space Marines!?!

This does look like fun, I should try that demo I downloaded of it.

Either way, this looks dudical.

Not really. They are just the super soldiers defending regular dudes around the universe.

The Tau on the other hand, they are more like them. :nerd:

You just don't like it when people have fun at things you don't think are fun do you?

Anywho, here is a little fiction stuff for VInny and Ryan. The little guys are called Gretchins. Greenskins are just a derogatory term for Orks in general.

And yea, humanity was an atheistic society while the Emperor (our Undying Lord) was around, but then let's just say something happens at the end of the Horus Heresy and now they worship the God-Emperor of Mankind.

Also, Spess Mahreens.

Brutal, crazy, fun and British as shit!
