Uhm; I'm pretty sure when Patrick said the herding reminded him of the beginning of Ocarina of Time; he was actually thinking of the beginning of Majora's Mask...

No herding in Ocarina of time, that I recall.

No a lot in Majora's mask either, nice job on the correction.

Wait, so GB has novelty accounts now? Wow.

There have always been novelty accounts...they just aren't usually so obvious :P

I want to play RDR on pc but rockstar told me to GET A 360!

Think of all the time you could have saved in Persona 4 if you just shot everyone in town and stopped the killer from striking again.

Excellent point.

YOU MURDERER!, he was surrendering

I've played a little bit of this game. It was alright. I think Burrito Bison Revenge along with Frog Fractions were my favourite browser based games that I've played from 2012. Burrito Bison Revenge was airtight.

Red Dead seemed like it might be amazing, until I realized you can't just walk up and press a button to talk to people or interact with anything. Instead, you pretty much walk around overhearing conversations or getting into cutscenes like every Rockstar game, and the rest is missions and important game mechanics. They have done some okay things with that style, but I think that may be the thing that makes me quit most Rockstar games long before finishing them - a lack of just being able to hang out and do things a person might do in that environment.

Patrick may be overstating the player agency in this game a bit, but what it does have is impressive for a flash game.

Patrick is wrong about it not being an open world game.  It's an open world game pretty much from the start.

Umm, I think when you wrote Majora's Mask you meant Twilight Princess.

This is your gun control solution right here

Is it gonna turn out the killer is you?

As far as I played, that's going to be a stupid as hell twist. Especially since witnesses describe the killer as not looking at all like me.

This looks fun, Nice find Patrick.

Looks excellent, very deep for a Flash game.

PATRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK

Why would you say you can't go anywhere you want? I walked everywhere in the game and discovered towns before they told me. I cleared out the mines before I knew there was stuff in there.

This game is totally open world.

Posted by Dark_Lord_Spam

Huh, no idea the clues could change. The brother told me "ten-gallon hat" so I totally thought the uncle did it.

We discovered it at the end of the Quick Look!

*rolls eyes* This is why most games don't let you randomly kill townspeople

Edited by mlarrabee

Why are you black while your brother is white? Is adoption a bigger thing in this universe than in the actual Old West?

EDIT: "Where are they AT?!" "WHERE ARE THEY AT?!" The "at" is completely unnecessary! Who proofread that?! Yes, I'm overreacting. That stupid "at" infuriates me.

"WHOA!! SHE'S PACKING!!"

Great QL, glad Patrick is there to show us some of these cool random indie games (not saying I like all of them, but some of them like this one are extremely cool).

I really like the pixel art in this game, also I would have replace the horse with a pickup truck (cause why not).

@BasketSnake:

they are gunna tell you to get a 720 for gta v

This game is wonderful but everyone knows the best Adult Swim game is Super House of Dead Ninjas.

Posted by Draxyle

That's what I loved about Baldur's Gate and the other infinity engine games. You could kill just about anyone you wanted, even quest givers.

Not that you would ever really want to, but even knowing that the choice is there really improves the atmosphere of a game tenfold.

Posted by marbleCmoney

This looks really cool. I'm gonna have to go check it out.

Posted by Bourbon_Warrior

I can't believe this is a flash game, I would pay 5 bucks on steam for a full screen version of this.

No, obviously the mother just had multiple partners. The mother was a swinger.

Pretty sure it was intentional

All y'all better not make a quick edit of Jeff saying "I'm a homeowner!" so that it sounds like he's saying "I'm a homo!"

Posted by WilyBoy

I beat this game by accident on my second quest. I was sent to some mines to clear out the bandits there, and deep in the caves I was alerted that "Three suspicious men are running away! Could one of them be the killer?" I continued fighting my way in and, after killing one of the seemingly random bandits, the game ended since that was apparently the killer. Pretty anticlimactic.

Wow a good Adult Swim game!!!!

Jeff saved this quicklook

Posted by jennoa

Really enjoyed this game. Love that music too.

Posted by DoomGuitar

So Patrick won't shoot a horse, but he has no problems shooting humans.

Posted by killacam

pixels in a flash game? sounds like a lot of hoops to jump through.

Posted by Doskias

My attention is gotten.

Posted by JeffGerstFan

Anyone else see the closed captioning? If so how might one get rid of it? Pretty funny stuff in there though.

You could kill the NPCs in Return to Zork too, once you obtain a murder weapon.

Sooooo. how does one full screen this game?

Posted by MrBlueJackle

@evanbower: You could try going directly to the swf file.

Posted by csl316

Now this I like.

Posted by SatelliteOfLove

Jeff shoulda been driving this for maximum killstreak.

Posted by BlatantNinja23

now I wanna play morrowind, where you really could kill anyone and just ruin everything.

Posted by MormonWarrior

I know you both meant Twilight Princess but you said Ocarina of Time. Just because I love nitpicking like that.

I was saying that exact same thing to myself right before you commented on the similarity with the beginning of TP. Crazy.

Posted by CaptRocketblaze

The lack of an open world, story driven game where you play as the leader of a bandit gang in the Wild West is a huge missed opportunity.
