Finally getting around to watching all the Random PC Game features. I have to admit, that 3D map blew me away. And I really want to give DaggerFall a shot now, if there's any hope of it working with Windows 8.

Holy crap. It's been forever since I played Daggerfall (I think I was like 10 or so at the time) but I don't remember this initial dungeon being this tough.

Oh god, you guys are sloooow to grasp stuff in games. The game told you to move the damn mouse to attack, didn´t it?

Whatever, there´s a reason games today are made for a casual crowd I guess. Nice idea for a video though, keep it up! Maybe read the stuff on screen some more ;)

I'm not being an elitist. I just love this site and don't want to see it shut down in two years. And it will if they don't get more subscribers. Whiskey Media is currently bleeding money. If they don't get more subs their days are numbered. That is fact.

So I get annoyed when a new sub only feature (no, this is not a Quick Look) shows up and certain non-payers are saying things like "this is unfair!" or "Giant bomb used to be cool now it's all ads and member content!" and the like. As if they're entitled to all of Giant Bomb's content for free always. Sorry, but pageviews don't pay the bills. This isn't a hobby of theirs, it's their job. The work they do doesn't come cheap.

I have nothing against free members. If you can't afford paying, or don't have a credit card, or just plain don't like the site enough to pay for it, fine. It's your choice. Just enjoy the free content (which there hopefully will still be plenty of) and support the site in other ways (tell friends, post in blogs, update the wiki, whatever).

But to expect everything to be free is unrealistic and, in my opinion, insulting to the crew and the time/effort they put into their work. If you want the "paywalled" content, wait a couple months, get a $5 monthly sub, check it out, then unsubscribe. Demanding it all to be free is childish and selfish, if you ask me.

The fact that this argument is even happening and we're not discussing this (extremely entertaining) video makes me a bit embarrassed to be part of the GB community. I hope they do what the level-headed paying and non-paying members suggested and color-code premium content and not let non-premium people comment, not for some elitist reason, but to prevent needless bickering like this.

My god someone wrote it for me in this huge mess of a comments section. If your complaining read this and shut the hell up. And this video is sick. That is all, because after reading over 28 pages of this shit while waiting for this to download I just again notice how shitty people are in general so I am gonna watch this for 2 hours and forget about humanity for a little while.

I just downloaded the game and did the exact same thing they did , I spent a long time making a character and died on the second enemy without saving. Fuck.

This has made getting a sub totally worth it.

If the videos aren't worth the minimal cost to you when averaged out over all of them for an entire year then clearly they're not worth your time either so I don't see your problem.
