This guy seems really cool. Always glad to have a down to earth intellectual/academic type in...pretty much any setting, really. He's seems like the anti-Dan. Despite the fact that giantbomb is one of my most visited websites, I'm not much of a gamer these days and never read game news, reviews, articles, etc. I don't watch trailers, or previews, or anything like that either. I just watch people I like play them while I work on other stuff, or before falling asleep at night, or while I eat something. If I have time on the weekends, maybe I'll play a couple hours myself but it's always old stuff (Mario Galaxy 2, Pikmin 2, and Yakuza 3 atm).

So...I doubt I'll read much of his stuff, unfortunately, but who knows. Really looking forward to his involvement in videos though. Two people just doesn't feel like enough for anything more than a quick look. Three is great number though. Get him on VinnyVania! Also, get cracking on VinnyVania!

Just listened to the Beastcast with Austin and really enjoyed his views and opinions. Very cool guy.

Oh man, Austin is great! As much as I enjoy "the Dan experience," I'll call it, I love that he's basically the anti-Dan as far as his background goes. I mean that in the nicest way possible.

And of course I'd be remiss if I didn't mention how happy I am to welcome a fellow nerdy brother to the crew. I don't want to put too fine a point on it or get into a debate of the significance of diversity here. Just know it means a lot to me.
