ShootMania Storms Onward

Great trailer and the game looks like it could be fun to hop on and burn a few minutes with. I like games I can easily hop in and out of and can enjoy for just a few short bursts - they're my bread and butter.

If this continues the TrackMania tradition of being a source for undiscovered dubstep versions of songs, then I'm in. Hope they add more weapon variety though.

Still absolutely no idea what the hell this game is.

Instagib was always pretty cool in Unreal Tournament and this basically looks like capture-point based Instagib.

Finally! Buckle up, I will. Dubstep is incoming.

Really enjoyed the trailer, though it's not likely I'll play this. I'm mostly looking forward to being extremely entertained by the inevitable Quick Look and TNT.

I guess it's official. Dubstep has become mainstream enough that people, when faced with an electronic genre they don't quite recognize, will default to identifying it as dubstep, even if it lacks most if not all the signature features of dubstep. Ah well, it doesn't beat the comment I saw praising the new hot thing, "fast dubstep" on a Spor video on Youtube. That still makes me chuckle...
 
As for ShootMania, I didn't think it would hook me, but it has. I don't know how long it'll have my attention for, so I hope they go out of their way to blow me away with a steady stream of content while I still have interest, up until launch. Very good first impression, at least. And is it just me, or does it show that this trailer was made by people who have been all about racing lately...?

I can't get over the fact that there are so many users freaking over the fact that we're calling "Drum n' Bass" Dubstep. I feel like the majority of us enjoy dubstep for how god awful it is... and i personally don't care if I call it the appropriate name or not. it's all horrendously shitty techno music that is extremely enjoyable in the worst type of way when mashed up with the Jurassic Park theme.

Basically, I cannot believe people actually take Dubstep seriously.

This looks surprisingly cool. I'm really into the concept of one-hit kills or even just a single weapon as shown in the trailer if the maps and overall game demand precision (much like Trackmania). It will make for a really great change.

Nadeo brings just the right kind of stupid. They should make a mania version of the sailing simulator.

The environmental design looks cool, but the character design and movement looks janky. I'm just not feeling it.

@Subjugation: Sorry but I'm not going to learn about the subtle differences between music genres that I don't care about and will never listen to. Take your music snobbery elsewhere where people actually give a fuck about the difference between Dubstep and Drum n Bass.

Some of that character animation could use some work... hopefully it's smoothed out upon full release. Other than that, I'm super fucking hyped!

Trackmania's presentation reminded me so much of Quake III-era shooters, and it looks like this definitely brings that to the table.

I hope everything is instagib and hitscan, that would make it all even crazier.

Still loving Trackmania2 so I'm looking forward to Shootmania. Sadly I don't think it'll really be as accessible since FPS games need good pings and I see this not being popular at all in Australia.

So this is just Quake on a bigger map with more players?

Shooters have never really been my thing though, so I'm not quite sure what I was expecting, but I'm slightly dissapointed. I have always found shooters like Quake to be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too boring and repetive. It's really one of the things I couldn't care less about to be completely honest.

And before people goes completely retard, this is a forum, meant for expressing your opinion, and I expressed mine.
