Skyrim Is Getting Kind of Absurd With Patch 1.5

@ColonelT: If you go to the main site there's dozens of other things fixed too in addition to the kill cams for that 1.5 patch, they just figured it might be boring for the video to list off the things fixed.

One step closer to Elder Scrolls and Saints Row merging into the ultimate game of open-world absurdity.

Is this their way of getting everyone not to notice all the glitches and game breaking bugs in the game?

I hope all the other tens of thousands of bug patches come a long with this one... that would be great.

So how many additional patches will it take to get the new stuff to work right?

If I can do suplexes anytime I want in Skyrim I will start playing it myself.

Aww shit yea, I remember when they were showing off some of this stuff a while ago (Don't ask for sources, someone else pulled the video on me, and I wasn't paying attention to it, shut up). So glad they're adding it in. Yea yea, chances of it working well are very slim, stop destroying my hopes and dreams.

I remember freaking the fuck out when I could discover I could suplex dudes in RE4. Every game could use suplexes.

Wasn't the suplex thing from a mod someone created a while back?

Some of those new Effects are pretty much Crazy. Even I`m currently pretty much Busy with some other Games for sure I will give Skyrim once a Day a a try and sure will get lost again in it :D

While I agree they should be fixing bugs, I have to ask have you REALLY run out of content in the game to need DLC?! I have about 415hrs in the game and still have way too many quests to do. I don't need any sort of DLC for Skyrim. Got enough content with the vanilla game.

Yes. Considering most of the quests are "go into this cave and do this" I got bored after around 80 hours. I figured I might as well have been playing WoW so I reinstalled that but luckily Saints Row 3 was released just in time to save me.

Exactly.

Yes, they aren't the same but they committed resources to making this. Resources that could have been committed to fixing crap or making new content. Either way I know there's no arguing with Skyrim fanboys as the GOTY podcast proved. ;)

I like the very last kill, with the NPC flying off a cliff far away. I'm glad they embrace the craziness of some of the physics in the game.

I'm glad I waited for the game to be patched.

I can't wait to get SKY UI and jump back in. I have hundreds of hours to go, the only thing I completd was the mage storyline.

I never understood how melee kill cams made the jump from Fallout, but ranged ones didn't... given the dominance of ranged weapons in Fallout.

The new weapon executions are cool... the hand to hand ones are a bit.... out of place?

You know, despite the metric tons of jank and aeons of glitches, I still fucking love this game. It's kinda like a pug; all fucked up looking and stupid, but somehow fantastic.

I wasn't excited about more kill cams because I got tired of those really quickly, but ranged kill cams is pretty awesome...

After 200+ hours I... I need some more time. I still like you, Skyrim, but that was an intense couple of months we spent together. I'm still recovering.

I dunno, I'm concerned for my stealth archer. Every shot was a 1 hit kill with most enemies, and I enjoyed clearing out rooms in seconds with the zoom in slow-mo. I'd rather do that then watch one enemy smack themselves into a wall. With Fallout I had the option to turn that stuff off (is that there for Skyrim, I don't remember...) or what I did which was to set it to player view even when it went into slow-mo. Now THAT was goddamn awesome and actually let me play Fallout the way I've played Skyrim. XD

I'm really not a fan of the kill cam obsession in modern games, though I have yet to actually play Skyrim. It did look cool for the ranged kills though.

I think I may throw this in to update it, but I'll wait for something more significant like a 2.0 to get back in a start a new character.

Magic kill cams could be awesome, might make me use it more. Archery ones are neat too. Heck this all cool.

It's something, but not really a substansial update. Still, it's free so I can't complain.

I didn't like the 'kill cams' before, this doesn't make me like them any more. How about fixing all the scripting so that the bits that actually *should* be dramatic *are*? Fixing having important character dialogue drowned out by poor timing/triggering with other events in-game would seem much more worthy of a patch.

I hear 1.6 is gonna add the "Awesome button" from Saints Row The Third.

Can't wait to play the game with this patch! When will it be out on the 360? It's the perfect excuse to start playing again.

Is Skyrim going sort of... Saints Row on us?
