Somebody Decided that Shadow Warrior Needed a Remake

We need a remake of the Build Engine. Every game made with it was fun as hell. Yet every sequel to them was shit.

The only people who have fun with racist caricatures or stereotypes are middleschoolers, there's no place for it in the adult world unless you need some growing up to do. The original game was garbage, both ethically and technically. Also, your fun sure is great when it upsets people and brings up memories of generations of institutional racism and the projected image that society places upon people of color. Just because you think talking about watermelon and KFC is funny, doesn't mean some black person should just get over it even though the sad reality to that black person is that most people think they're genuinely like that.

That being said, Hard Reset was an amazing game and the developers straight up said they're removing the misogynistic and racist humor, so they can only improve on the original game. It's not like the bar was set very high.

So weird to see the 3D Realms logo on anything anymore.

Huge build engine fan here, played the original soooo much. I am not expecting anything out of this - but im gonna buy it, because I HAVE to know.
