I like my computer just fine. Its faster and with more bells and whistles... that and I have it already. Only thing I'm going to get out of the next gen are new controllers. Mine cant hold a charge for shit. Cant freaking wait!!!

I wish some people weren't so cynical and jaded.

Are Sony being "dicks" by releasing this the day before the Xbox reveal? Don't be silly, its marketing. This is the beginning of what will be for the forseeable future a big marketing shouting match between these two companies. They both have a lot on the line, and they are going to push these systems as hard as they can to grab your attention.

As to people's other major complaint, about "who cares what it looks like?" Of course in the end its not really important, but I don't think anyone around here has said "man, this thing better look cool, or I'm not buying one." But, and correct me if I'm wrong, we're all here because we love video games, right? And a new video game console is about as exciting a time there can be for console gamers. There are loads of people who can't wait to get their hands on a new system, and seeing what it will look like is a validation that it's real, they can look at pictures of it and say "that's the ting I'm going to buy, that's what it looks like." They can imagine it on their shelf in a very real way, as opposed to just imagining what this theoretical box looks like. It's one more step toward ownership.

tl:dr - Do I care what the PS4 looks like? Not really, but I'm damn excited to see it.

I just fucking love this expectation and all the crap around the change of the generation!!!

Good thing for Sony that they tease us with their black rectangle and all its sexy physical features. Otherwise, they'd lose tons of consumer happy points after Microsoft reveals their white rectangle in full aliased glory.

I really hope that controller's not too much fatter than a dual shock. The button and stick changes look like I can live with them.

I dunno why you people complaint about the black color ... PS2 was black so was PS3 ... dont see why it should change now.

Guys, we all know it's going to be a black rectangle of some sort. This is just good marketing by Sony - take a little of the focus away from Microsoft on the eve of their big reveal, and give people something to talk about right up to E3. Regardless, all this shit is getting me seriously hyped.
