Scoopin' time!

Posted by nelson1tom

Damn, patrick is really making some of the most appealing content on here lately.

Posted by KyleBsure

w00t! Thanks for getting this one uploaded for us so quickly.

I always look forward to these.

Edited by TheManWithNoPlan

This went up quick. I missed it live, so I've been really anxious to watch it.

Thanks for doing these Scoops. There always great.

Edited by BadNews

I'm gonna wait to watch this. My friend isn't a member and he is a big horror game fan. Every time he comes over asks if a new spookin with scoops is up and we both watch it.

Protip if anyone has never done it, spookin with scoops is awesome to watch with friends.

I wish I could switch the game view and patrick's webcam. I feel like it would scare the shit out of me less that way.

woo! i missed this earlier!

So quick. Thanks!

Gooooood stuff

As soon as he started Error 53 i knew exactly what was in store, jump scare city. It shouted it from the opening. Its a shame, it has such a promicing start to be a genuinely interesting idea..

A real shame about that "glitched" title. They were so close, so close to such an amazing concept, but then they had to muck it up with some amateur nonsense.

Same with the winter game too really. They have a fantastic scenario set up, but it's chained around the neck by copying Slenderman's collect-athon thing. If they were to just make the character run until they were caught, that would make for a much more interesting experience.

Still, glad they made it on to the show. There's so many bizarre experiments in the horror genre that I never would have known to exist otherwise. If I ever figure out game development, I'd love to give it a try myself.

Stayed up late just to watch this. It's a shame that those chapters messed up, but it was still a very fun watch. Thanks for the fun, Patrick!

sucks the creators of the wonderful white face had to resort to screamers from 2002

Posted by schreiberty

to bad he skipped the controling multiple dudes chapter of experiment 12, i thought it was one of the best

Diggin the Dark Tower shirt Scoops.

Edited by Sputty

The Error game is pretty much just a horrible flash screamer from the early 2000s.

Posted by RanmaRanma

Good stuff. Always enjoy these a lot.

Posted by shouldice

@draxyle: Hey there. I'm the guy that made Hide, the pixel winter game. The concept wasn't copied from Slender; Hide came out about a year before. :)

Spotted Cow is awesome. Just had Moon Man IPA a few weeks ago and it was amazing stuff. Go New Glarus Brewing.

Spookin' makes me feel good!

Look, wanting to make a amateur horror game is great, people should do it. But if you don't have the budget for proper voice acting, please try and tell your story without it, use some other means to convey your story, like text or even better environmental story telling. Poor voice acting just detracts from the experience.

Any horror games that rely on screamers get an automatic 'fuck you' from me. Its so cheap and lazy. I want games that try to creep me out and have a feeling of dread.

Edited by BeachThunder

Cryostasis is fantastic; it's Ukranian though, not Russian. It's an absolute huge shame that it's no longer on Gog or Steam ={

@shouldice: I really liked the look of that, I'll have to try it a bit myself. Good works duder!

come on, patrick. hook up your ps2 and play some fatal frame, dawg!

Posted by Truckalicious

Wait, Gone Home doesn't have spooky ghosts? Chris Remo, you LIAR!

Also, good show

God, I wish that was available on PC. I do own it, though, and maybe there's another option...

While you're at it, play SIREN: Blood Curse, because more people need to know about that game!

The experiment 12 game Patrick skipped was the coolest one :(

Kinda Frog Fraction-y.

Posted by etdragon

@patrickklepek: If you can acquire off the shelf capture software OBS can pull information from almost any of them. The Roxio Game Capture works ok for stuff like this especially with PS2 games.

This is why i always play horror games with my brother sitting right next to me. I honestly don't think i can last as long as patrick does playing these games on my own AND with freaking headphones on!

dude has guts.

Patrick you should definitely install PCSX2 emulator and showcase various horror games from humongous PS2 library. PCSX2 now runs practically every single PS2 game worth giving a damn flawlessly. Its not that difficult to set up either.

It would be so amazing if Patrick's wife or someone would sneak up behind him and just peek their head into the frame of his camera so you can just see their face. I keep looking at his thumbnail and wishing that would happen.

And, just to say it, this is one of my favorite features and I don't even like horror games too much.

Patrick, dude, you gotta eat some more. You way to skinny bro.

Posted by MeatSim

I was expecting more flights of stairs in the stairs game.

You should leave that spooky-ass music on low in the background while you're talkin'.

It's really too bad about that 'glitched' game. The premise of it seemed really cool. In a way, it reminded me of the creepy pasta "Squidward's Suicide". It takes this really normal thing and just gets weirder and creepier.

It really sucks that it was ruined by some crappy jump scares. I mean, for fucks sake that is some "maze screamer" shit.

Posted by Tunnelman

Hey dude! It'd be great if in the video description you listed the titles of the games you're taking a look at. It'd be fine to scroll back through a video to find one, but annoying.

Posted by SkipperSonne

First time watching, I have to say that this is already a lot more appealing than PewDiePie, nothing against him.

I hear this "Fatal Frame" game is supposed to be kind of scary?

That Chapter 12 game looks like it sucks, with the exception of Chapter 5.

Edited by Creamypies

FUCK YOU PATRICK! My clown phobia really kicked in at the beginning of the video.
