@Spectrea: The most recent episode (Lone Survivor mainly) was clearly scheduled... but that was for 4am UK time :S

Shame I never get to see 'Spookin' as a result. Lots of the other shows are quite late at night, but usually just about do-able for me.

Sick of missing live stream footage now, even if i am in the uk im usually always up at this time before work, is there a schedule or something i am missing? Or is it mostly random?

Good going for giving it a shot. I think this feature has merit even if its only that i get to see horror game content without having to play horror games. They sound like really interesting games, I just don't like that kind of suspense stress. Good luck for the next try!

3. I should have lowered the resolution, rather than maintaining the native resolution of my laptop.

4. I didn’t have my laptop connected over Ethernet, it was over wi-fi. Yeah, yeah, I know, I know.

5. I didn’t save a local version of the capture, which means the version on Twitch is all we have.

6. I'm going to build a PC eventually! This year probably!

A bunch of excuses? Totally! But I wanted to make sure people knew I’d taken note of everything that now seems perfectly obvious, and to underscore the learning process. Part of the reason I just went ahead and pulled the trigger was to make sure that Spookin’ With Scoops actually happened. Even if I crashed and burned, at least there was progress, right? And you got to watch me flame out!

I'm really excited about you doing this, Pat. I'm too scared to play horror games and the atmosphere of playing it with you is so nice. It's like buddying up with a friend in the den and going through it together. Still scary, but you don't feel alone!

Love the segment idea! However, I could only watch so much of this low res video but I'm excited that a solution presented itself and can't wait for the next one.

I'm going to join the crowd and say I really like the idea and everything but the video quality is so bad it's pretty much unwatchable for me. Kinda like listening to a podcast of someone playing a horror game.

Nice! I am to much of a weenie to play survival horror games myself, so its awesome that you guys are posting these. Keep them coming Patrick! I am sure they will get better with time.

Damn, I remember the end of Scratches..... the whole game is just piling the tension on and then.... at the end..... Daaaaammnnn

Wow the video quality sucked... but it added to the suspense in a cool way, hearing the sounds effects and the creepy blurry silhouettes added even more to the tension. Your own mind starts to fuck with you after a while.

I bought Eternal Darkness a while ago and it sucks. It's not scary, it's clunky and boring, and even then it was overshadowed (rightfully so) by the superior Resident Evil Remake and Silent Hill 2.

Great to see this getting started, watching people play horror games interests me more than playing them. Horrible amount of puzzle in this game it seems.

@patrickklepek I didn't catch the vid live, I find the teething troubles of this first instalment a little off-putting so I haven't watched it yet, and I have a very limited interest in horror games - BUT I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your commitment to playing games in an environment where they can be best appreciated. Having you record yourself gaming in chill out mode - or rather CHILLZ!-out mode - creates a dynamic you don't often get from simple QLs. Same goes for Ryan playing Pokemon Snap at home (on Twitch, although the GB studio stream was entertaining too) or Jeff cataloguing some of his old ROM carts. As long as you're going above and beyond, with this extra-curricular footage, I'll be sure to watch every bit.

Although the video was at times... umm.. barely watchable lol I did enjoy it, I actually would like to see more of the other game your played as well, but I can see it being a bit slow to show. Still though, as a fellow lover of horror games this feature is super neat, looking forward to more :)
